Bow Build?

Is it possible to make a decent character maining the bow? Right now I’m levelling a Wood Elf, Nightblade, full Stamina maining bow. I eventually want to PvP.. Solo, picking people off, maybe as a sniper type? Bla, bla, bla.. You get the picture 
Fairies are invisible and inaudible like angels. But their magic sparkles in nature.

✭✭✭✭✭I have a bow/bow stamsorc and she is a blast for stealth/solo work. She can certainly handle overland, quests, delves, public dungeons all solo. Soloing dolmens is almost possible for her. Soloing WBs is pretty much not gonna happen for her. I don't like to group with her in PvE because her dps is not impressive and does best at range and stealthed - not rushed along in a group.
She has little time in Cyrodiil but did run with a small group doing some castle captures. She turned out to be pretty helpful sniping from behind tougher allies.
It is my understanding that a bow/bow NB is even a bit stronger - with better damage and sustain, though perhaps a bit less durable.

Time travel back to last fall, grind up Vomit Death and Viper, ambush, spray poison and disease everywhere, cackle manically. Watch as it's all nerfed into the ground with the release of Horns of the Reach.
But, seriously, one shot kills are something the devs actively do not want. Simply because it results in situations where nothing interesting happens. So, as a result, you can do a lot of damage to someone quickly, but one shotting them isn't a realistic goal.0 -

Yes that would be the class to Do it with. Make sure to,get fighters guild and,mages guild . stack weapon damage.
Dawnbreaker for 8% weapon damage stack fighter guild skills for a total of 20% weapon damage . mages guild you will have to proc for another 20% damage . then,of course wood,elf for their 12% from sneak and Nb passive for another 10 %. I think you can also get another 8% from the sepectal bow, .. Good luck.0 -
Jiandao✭✭✭For PvP yes it's possible. I've tried it and like using Marksman with Sheer Venom with 1xKragh or 1xVeli. Sometimes I swap the Marksman for Spriggans or Morag Tong.
Main burst bar:
Lightweight Trap
Piercing Mark
Poison Injection
Radiant Magelight
Lethal Arrow
U: Flawless Dawnbreaker
Buff/Escape bar:
Shadowy Disguise
Vigor
Draining Shot
Concealed Weapon
Shadow Image
U: Bow Ulti
Sheer Venom procs with Poison Injection so it hits hard and after the debuff to healing from Lethal Arrow players struggle to heal through it. Trap is there for the Fighters Guild damage buff and it can also be good for placing in a choke point, but it does break stealth so should be used wisely. It can be swapped for Grim Focus or Caltrops, but I prefer Trap. Magelight is for the Might of the Guild buff, but I've also used Camo Hunter in the past. I prefer Magelight though.
Shadowy Disguise is on the same bar as Vigor to crit heal. Concealed Weapon on that bar also helps to get away together with DS and Shadow Image. Have to be careful when bar swapping as the Shadow tree passive means that you have extra health on this bar.
Some people also play vampire for the speed, but I prefer not to as it's ugly. Speed and keeping your distance is key to playing bow/bow well and takes practice.

Why are you using shadow image over shuffle? its just a better skill.
There is no way I am going anywhere without the 8% damage buff from relentless focus.
There is basically two Bow builds.. Physical damage Bow builds and Poison Damage bow builds. Focused aim vs Lethal arrow.
They both revolve around the Magelight+ Snipe+ Cloak burst combo.1 -

Shuffle is not so great since it got nerfed to 15% and it's expensive to use. It's been absent from my bar for a long time now.
Shadow Image is very useful on a bow build for keeping the enemy at bay. If you get caught it's game over and all the Shuffle in the world won't save you. With SI a good nb can teleport and attack again before the enemy realises where he is.
As I said, some of the skills are flexible so can indeed be swapped for Grim Focus. Many players like the skill and get good use from it. Personally, I prefer other skills.0 -

ZOS has NO LOVE for stamina builds and specially not for bows
you can meet a bowplayer somewhere questing in the zones but that was it
you don´t see any bows in raids,
stamina got nerfed to non-excisting by the devs
my NB got the last patch a "healing-skill" that kills him when he heals others, nice isn´t it?!
one of my chars is/was a bowbuild in PvP
was a nice time, but now it looks this way
if you are not able to kill an enemy within 5 secs, then take your legs and get off
as a stamplayer in cyro you only have 2 options
full dmg
or
live long
full dmg was wrecked/nerfed, so now you stand in the greens and watch those trying to kill you
as said in raids you don´t see us anymore, NO LOVE from ZOS for staminabased characters.
now you see all and everything running with staves around, some with an 2hander maul or the like
and that was it.
you want an easypeasy build to have fun? > make yourself a magsorc, you can have 2 pets, and numerous shields

Good question.
Physical hits much harder. Poison gives much more ultility but you will have to stay in combat for longer.
So the physical gank is really looking for a 1-2 punch, very little time to react. But if they are heavily armored or shielded or shuffle dodge your hit. You wont do very much damage after the initial burst.
The poison build wants to use the intial burst to get them low and try to execute from there. Uses the combination of defile to reduce healing and sets to increase poison damage execute from poison injection to drain out thier targets from the low health position.Edited by Narvuntien on November 20, 2017 12:48PM0 -

In my opinion playing both, physical does more burst damage, poison give more preasure to enemy players, but both work.0 -
