Veteran Maelstrom Arena Quest?

Hi there, my first attempt at Vet Maelstrom arena did not go beyond the first round. So, I geared up, and abandoned the quest to restart it. Now, I am back in, progressed to round three (where I again suck miserably), but did not get the actual quest again.

How come? Will I lose my progress if I leave the arena (i.e. for the bank) or if I log out since I do not have the quest? Will I not get the final rewards if I do finish without the quest showing up in my log? What is going on?

I can answer my own question: All progress was lost after I logged out. Apparently, you do need the quest in order to come back, even though you can just start playing the arena.

Also, I cannot start the quest again it seems...

This is very misleading/weird and should be fixed, please!

As you found out, your saved progress is linked to the quest. After you drop the quest is has a timer on it before you can pick it up again... And make sure to grab the quest

As you run in, wait 10srconds for fruit n nut's dialog to end Then her quest pops up.
