False blue screen?

Not sure what else to call it but since cwc, there has been 2 incidents when I'm in a group and traveling to the person causes a blue screen to pop up on the person traveling but will still port you, the blue screen goes away and you're back in game, either can continue playing or the entire system freezes up. I thought blue screens usually force close the game so I'm not sure what's happening here.

✭✭✭✭✭A real blue screen (BSoD) means the OS has crashed, you won't be able to do anything after that at all.
So no, that wasn't a blue screen ...
