They average out to whatever rarity they are, so you can use 2 golds with the rest purples and it'll be a bit higher than using all purples, or so I was told.

Depends on slot. Difference between jewels of different quality stats is smaller than different armor quality and smaller still than different weapon quality. That's why if you need to choose between upgrading weapons and armor, the former should be priority but having gold jewelry instead of purple will change next to nothing.

Try and tell us. Always good to have some more data on this especially after patches. Shouldn't be very hard or expensive to get one of those pieces or both in purple.

I don't have the calculation but you would get slightly higher than 386 because one gold piece but you wouldn't get the whole 400 until you get all gold pieces.

Ahh so value increments depending the number of gold upgraded pieces. I thought it stays or maximum purple value and it only changes when I have all gold.
