Tank - Group kicked me after one fight said I wasn't a tank?

✭✭✭✭✭I was in imperial prison dungeon playing on xbox one. Granted I have never done the dungeon before, and I was only level 48 at the time. I also had 210 CP. I had 36K health and was using 1h/shield. I am not built for dps, at all, which is why I prefer dungeon crawling.
The first fight, of course, I can't grab them all - so someone almost died. They told me I wasn't a tank and booted me. I'm really flabbergasted by this.
Look, I am new, and I don't mind constructive criticism. But I can't learn when I get booted when I first enter a dungeon. I honestly have no idea how to taunt a group of mobs. But, I guess this group had the expectation that I do this. So, I decided to come here to ask for assistance.
What made this group think I wasn't a tank? How can I grab aggro from a group of mobs instantly?

Imperial Prison isn't a good dungeon to learn in. I'd start on something easier as that's one of the more difficult dungeons.
Your group sounds like it was full of ______ holes and that is the real reason you were kicked. Unfortunately you have to deal with those scum who like to abuse the kick function when doing randoms on this game. But think on the bright side - as even with the penalty - you are likely to get into a fresh dungeon while they are sitting there twiddling their thumbs in the prison waiting for a replacement.Edited by Jeremy on November 17, 2017 10:01PM0
