It's not just some bug with textures, the login servers are pure garbage too

I hope the current problems will make ZOS take a look at the login servers as well, because I'm sick to my stomach from waiting for over a minute before I even get to the character selection screen, THEN staring at "requesting character data" for good 30 seconds, AND THEN the actual loading of data starts.
It varies wildly, but right now, around 13h UTC - way outside of prime time - I measured 48 seconds to get to the character selection screen, 15 seconds of "waiting for character data" (seriously, what was the game doing for almost a minute before that???), and then around 30 seconds (that's actually not bad, typically I see over a minute) until I saw my character (and then another 10-20 seconds of unplayable lag).
I have a SSD which is barely doing anything during the entire time.
There is a horrible inefficiency somewhere on the server side of things.

Solexe✭Sick to your stomach over having to wait 2 minutes to play a video game? Your joking right? Man try some fresh air and doing something difficult that you enjoy.
When you expend energy that way, deal with real problems/challenging situations, and overcome them, you find small things like that don't bother you at all.
My tone may sound a tad, terse but my intentions are good I promise. I do not like seeing people suffer from distress over nothing. May your travels lead you to warm sands.3
