Hi there, thanks for the build! Could you pls elaborate on the two weapons - why these enchants and traits? There are so many conflicting opinions / calculations...

So enchants you want shock and fire.

Shock enchant front and enchant Fire back.

You want double infused as well.

Also something to note you can get 3 Wizard Jewerly and 1 body then craft 2 Juli staffs so MUCH easier than what I did.
    ^_^

With double infused you get some nice burst from LA/HA

Thank you. In your video, the front bar has precise. Since Horns of the Reach I have been reading a lot of theorycrafting discussing nirnhoned/sharpened/precise/infused for the front. You still think infused is better for the front? Or is the difference minimal anyway? Infused on back bar seems to be common sense since HotR.

vMA is a different beast. Its all solo and you NEED to kill everything.
In the video I just used the best trait I had. But infused/infused would be best imo since the enchant is strong therefor giving you burst when it hits and since the CD is reduced so much its going to be proxing ALOT and hitting hard.

For example in trials a boss fight may have adds and when the adds are closer to you then the boss your WoE can prox the enchant on the adds instead of the boss which reduces Single Target Damage therefore its better to use precise which effects all of your skills. But in vMA you gotta kill everything! Honestly everything in there is super weak compared to trials. Lower health lower resistance so the burst for 2 enchants proxing is awesome imo.

Thanks again! I tried your build, but I miserably fail at the boss of round one already. I guess, I have a long way to go. Just switching bars to keep the shield up seems to be too much for me every now and then... With a pet build, I am a little better, but still wont get past the first final boss. vMA is frustrating indeed...

I strongly support double barring a shield until you know what you are doing in there. That way you always know that pushing button 'x' will save your butt. Once you get the hang of things, you will learn to anticipate damage and cast it accordingly. At which point, you should only need it on one bar.

Also remember, that the first boss by design is a bit of a dps check. He sort of acts as a barrier to entry for the rest of the arena. The reality is that if he ports more than once on you, you might run into problems later as your DPS is on the lower range of acceptable. If he ports more than twice, I would not recommend proceeding without doing a little work on your rotation. It gets easier with practice, so keep at it. Any time I try a new class or build in VMA, I use the first boss as a test. If I can kill him before he ports a second time, I know I can burn anything that needs burned throughout the whole arena.

There really arent absolute DPS checks anywhere in the arena, but most of the bosses are greatly simplified (you can ignore certain aspects of the fight) over a threshold level of DPS, which is about the same as what it takes to kill boss one by his second port.

    Wow! Great info - thanks!
...and yes, I am nowhere near killing him before he ports for the first...second..third...time. I am too busy fighting the adds. Yet, I have pretty much the exact same setup except for being only at CP 432...

Then what I would do is change strats. Save ult for the 2nd port when adds spawn.
