Why are you singling out the Wrothgar event ?

There's a reason most of my toons have DSx5 + Cowardx5 , or at least Fiordx5 + DSx5 , for non-combat equipment. I make nightly chest and node runs, looting no less than 300 chests per session, and countless nodes. My wife and I share gold, gear/loot and mats between a total of 22 characters, between both accounts. She doesn't get a ton of playing time with her work schedule as a hospital pharmacist, so do most of the "grinding" for both of us. So, if you see me out running around, Speedy Gonzalez style, chances are that's what I'm doing...and good luck getting much, if anything, if you're in my chosen path/route. I spent the necessary CPs for Windrunning, Sprinter, 50% node collection time, extra gold, etc. , the time + SPs for Locksmith IV to smash-n-grab, Athletics in Med Armor, Stamina recovery boosts, etc, plus Steed mundas....so I won't apologize for using them. It's a HUGE game, so there's always chests and nodes to loot. If I find my usual stomping grounds are overrun and/or depleted, I have dozens of other runs memorized that I can do.

Starting to think I should... Better than letting someone else open it just to leave useless crap in it.

To me, the real "jerks" are the ones that (foolishly) try to "scare off" someone from a chest, while they're lockpicking, with a fire/lighting attack, or run in and grab a monster-guarded chest, while someone else is in the process of killing them.

If we're both just running along a similar route, and I'm faster...and more often than not I am, even against +60 lvl mounts...I don't think twice about grabbing a chest. Although, if I sense that someone is running my exact same route, I'll sometimes reverse course, or run ahead, skipping over a couple chests, to avoid having to constantly feel like I'm in a race.

Yeah I have too and it sucks, I never steal nodes if someone is clearly fighting for it, i may watch to see if they kill the mobs then leave it though, if they leave it then I'll take it of course.

I chose other, because my choice isn't there. When I'm farming, I'll go from node to node. Not sprinting (since I permastealth to avoid aggro), so not really "racing" people. If I see someone fighting by a node, I'll either wait, or help them kill the mob. If they go for the node after combat, they can have it.

No point in fighting over it. I’m fine with casually farming.

Seems like just normal decency to not "snipe" nodes. People really go out of their way to be a ***?

My other is avoid Wrothgar and spend any time I farm mats in other zones. In the end I would probably come out ahead as I tend to let others have the nodes if they are near them.

I don't know how many times people have run up to me as I'm picking a node/chest and started firing/bashing at me. I'm just like "*raises eyebrow and chuckles*" people....SMH.

Other...because I tend to just not go to the current "2x"-Zone in the first place. If I farm mats...i prefer to do it in peace and quiet.
