Have you ever decided that a different character should be your main?

My "main character" since the beginning is a pet Sorc (lulz b4 it was kewl >;3)

But after the Warden came out I'm committed to spending all of my time on it and getting achievements (rip VMOL achievements)

While my stamplar was my first character, it's my healer that gets the most use and has completed the most content in terms of trials and dungeons.

I switched from a Taccruiser to a TacSci in Star Trek Online ages ago. (As in, actually different characters, not just different ship classes.)

I think I changed my main in Champions online.

I think I may have accidentally swapped mains in Secret World Legends. I originally rerolled my TSW Templar, but gradually swapped over to a Lummie.

In ESO? No. My original Nightblade's been my main this entire time. I've spent a lot of time on other characters, but that NB is still my main.

My third character I created is the one I am using to get as many achievements as possible. When new content comes out that character is the first to visit the new area and do everything. I have other characters that at times get more game time. One of my guilds is a mostly casual guild and we have decided to try and finish some of the Vet trials as a guild. My main is a healer but we need DPS so I have been spending a lot of time on an alternate to try and fill that role.

My first character has become my master crafter.

I've been thinking the exact same thing. Been enjoying my magWarden more than my sorc since CWC dropped. I don't enjoy pets though, and unfortunately warden DPS can be trapped behind the bear as much as Sorc is behind the scamp. If they buff warden to where it does not need the bear to compete I will prob make it my main and never look back.

My main at early access launch, a Bosmer Dragonknight, is still my main today. And she's the character who knows all the crafting things, does all the quests, earns the achieves...but during this year's Witches Festival, I finally began leveling my alts and made the unfortunate discovery that I freaking *love* playing Templar. Now I'm firmly in the "give us class changes or let us unlock skills from other classes, please!" group. I love my main and want to play her forever, but not with Dragonknight skills!

I have 13 characters, almost everyone of them becomes flavour of the month at any time, so i don't really have a main, just character number 1 which was a main once but now generally comes out to farm and craft stuff....

My main is still my go to for farming, achievement hunting, doing ALL the things...but...I use my magDK more often these days. She is who I am running around doing PvP stuff with, and I will stick with her in that environment until the bitter end. When I am ready to go farm mats or do something other than PvP, I will go back to my main. Or, I still have several other characters that need work to reach my idea of 100% completion (leveled, lorebooks, skyshards, skill point quests). I do not have enough time to do everything that I "need" to do in game...

I started with my main in Nov 2015 and stayed with my main. This is a serious commitment. You should stay with your original selection. It's not like marriage where you can willy-nilly mess around with something more shiny. I can't believe you people.

I have on 2 ocassions almost deleted my main in favor of an alt that I started to enjoy more, but since my main has all the achievements/motifs/traits/etc I ended up deleting the alt instead, I just wish that more achievements were account bound so I could actually play other toons without the annoying feeling that I'm just wasting time on stuff that I could be doing on my main.

Yes. My main character should be a stamblade instead of my current templar healer. All this Thieves guld and Dark Brotherhood mess requires NB for proper roleplay, not holy aedric light templar saints.

Well in the first month I owned a magsorc, then I got bored of it then went the DK way, and in the middle of 2015 I made a Nightblade and ever since I'm in love with the class and regret that I didn't began as an NB

Over time I find that I don't really have a "main" anymore. I play all my char's pretty equally. *shrugs*

My main was Templar, but he's now my crafting/tank guy for when I want to get dungeons done quick. About two years later I created a nightblade Khajiit for the Covenant and he has since become my main for everything PVE.

Mained a Magplar which became my healer. Leveled and played Khajiit stamblade assasin for a while, then an Argonian tank, Dunmer Magplar DD PVP, now running Altmer Pet Sorc through dungeons, CWC and Wrothgar. I basically have done the archetypes that interest me, but my healer is my “main” and oldest character (and crafter).

I’ll switch between them depending on my mood.

I swapped to a stam NB for a bit and then a stam Sorc. But nothing quite feels like home like the DK.

Nope.
I always have two "mains", a boy and a girl, and in TES games, they always are two dunmer, one sneaky ruthless ninja type, and one timid nerdy spellslinger type.

What -HAS- happened in ESO is that my main "crafting alt" got herself promoted to "third main" after I started enjoying her too much to remain a mere alt...

In TERA, i started with a spellcaster, as I usually do in every MMO I've played and will continue to play, but after making a lancer, he became my main, and I had since deleted my sorcerer. In ESO though, I have several characters, but my first guy, Veric Blackwood, will always be my main, even though I stopped playing him for a long time a while back.

To be honest I don't remember my first few chars.
I started playing during early access and my oldest char was created 4 months after.
I have changed my main many times, due to boredom in playstyle.

My primary started out as an inventory mule. Then I got ESO plus and suddenly have a TON of free space in the bank + the craft bag , so I max-leveled him, re-spec'd, and now he's my #1.

Each of my characters has a different purpose, I don't really understand the idea of a main.

PVP Main
PVE Main
Tank
Healer

Time wise It is probably fairly even in time between my PVP and PVE mains. My poor tank is left by the wayside, I use him to farm undaunted Keys when I need a monster set and my healer is still leveling.

My very first character was a khajiit nb. This being my first mmo I had no idea what I was doing. He was a mess. Made a couple alts. But I didn't find my new main until Professor Kittyhawk, a sorc khajiit, arrived on the scene. He was just a joke character for light role playing. But he grew on me and became my main. Eventually resulting in me deleting my original khajiit nb and the old alts so he was at the top of the list. And that is where he will remain until the end of days.

No one can beat my magplar dd/healer. Awesome 2in1 gameplay, easy rotation, 30-50 seconds to find 4x group as healer, but you still dps as hell.

Leveled DK tank recently. Pretty nice gameplay diversity, but Templar will be always #1.
