Limited bag/bank space, items should stack to open up some space

there is huge problem everyone faces in game - lack of inventory space.
can you at the very least make all items of same type stackable in 1k stacks like in crafting bag! increase current stacks to 1k, lot of them are 100-200 still...

list of items that take up inventory space:

> uncracked transmutation geodes
> writ rewards -
- provisioner's pack
- enchanter's coffer
- alchemist's vessel
- clothier's satchel
- blacksmith's crate
- woodworker's case
> cyrodiil - siege items
> cyrodiil - rewards for the worthy
> daily/repeatable quest rewards
> identical enchanting glyphs

I'd love if identical enchanting glyphs, treasure maps, weapons/armour, and siege stacked. I get that siege not stacking is an attempt to limit how many pieces a person can deploy in a given encounter, but it's a pita outside of Cyrodiil.

I'm not sure if containers will ever stack, but it's definitely worth asking.

I think because those containers do not have the same things inside, is why they don't stack.

I would love to see these things stack, especially enchantments, maps and so forth, just like survey maps do now.

Edit: Can we also stack jewelry? Please!

it becomes a problem where signifficant chunk of your playtime is sorting inventory to free up some space.
i am a bit of a horder, won't lie, also master crafter.
with every patch more and more new items come in, space remain the same.
there are about 100 item sets in game and hundreds of different furniture items, recipes etc

i tend to collect weeks worth(or more) writ satchets, daily quest rewards, and it just kills the space.

Do you have any evidence for such an extreme claim? I don't have any problems with inventory management, non-hoarders rarely do judging by previous discussions here - especially since the introduction of the crafting bag for subscribers.

Baby does a blacksmithing crate need to stack. Take the contents out. Everything in it stack except what is intended for decon and the resulting matts stack.

That takes care of half OPs list.

Pledge rewards are keys and they stack.

No reason to hold onto glyphs. Drops - just decon or sell. Don't craft what you don't need.

    Geodes should stack.

yes - I decon everything that isn't white except for all the enchants which I do decon.

it means I don't have to farm mats.

I have seen a few bots but honestly I have seen many more players farming - and I don't like the idea of having to farm for mats

opening everything as you receive- rng is against you to get better reward!
i meant daily quest rewards not pledge rewards, appologies ( some zones have those - orsinium and dark brotherhood and such)
as for glyphs ppl tend to craft and sell them in bulk, hundreds of them!

it's all about rng, if you pop open 1 item chances are you get screwed, if you collect 100 you get screwed maybe 99 times xD

You can look into containers without opening. That means they can't stack, because they will have different contents. Perhaps they could make containers generic until you look into them, and then make them unique items.

Would love to see some smarter stacking and boosting stacks of 200 to 1000 (soul gems and lockpicks, I'm lookin' at you).

Happily, we don't have to manage arrows, and poisons stack up high (I'm over 500, don't know the cap).

So, I have ESO+, I'm a hoarder, and I also decon everything that isn't white. If having to stop play every 2 hours or so to decon is a problem, I'm not sure what to tell you. Are you stealing a lot? Those can be sold to your fence. You can destory on site - either sell to your merchant to use the "destroy" menu option. Have you maxed out carry capacity on your horse and your bag?

siege not stacking is purely because they couldn't make them stack without messing up the health of unused siege weapons and took the easy option of making them not stack at all

ESO+ boom solved your inventory problem. Crafting mat bag no space restrictions, double the bank space. Now that you can change traits, and soon motiff style of armor there is even less reason to hold onto every single piece of set armor you get. That being said with ESO+ and at least 400 bank spaces it shouldn't be an issue.

I think with a really careful redesign then Cyrodiil siege weapons, at least, could be made to stack. Instead of tracking individual health, they could use a shared health pool, where every time you pull from the pool you get a fully-functional siege engine, but when you put it back the total pool is diminished by the correct amount/gone forever if you leave the siege lying there. Then buying more ballista or whatever just adds to that item's health pool. Might be some edge cases where that functions weirdly but I'm pretty sure that would work out and make our PvP darlings a little happier.

no for merchant, items i crave space for are not for sale, they are for me to keep(set items, furniture etc)

no for banker - my bank is 99-100% full at all times with items i share across all of my characters for convenience

don't have enough space to steal stuff also xD ( that kill inventory in minutes... )

it's fine if 'used' siege would not stack with fresh/full health ones

i had eso+ for awhile, it does help but it doesn't solve problem fully. even with eso+ inventory managing is a problem, there are so many interesting items in game and more are coming with every update

Why are you not opening these as soon as you get them? These materials that automatically go to your crafting bag. There is absolutely no need to hold onto them.

That makes no sense whatsoever. That's like saying you have a better chance of rolling a "6" on a die the more times you roll it, which is false. You ALWAYS have a 1:6 chance each time you roll the die.

Well I have eso + and max bank and have inventory issues. Two main reasons are: siege items and bits of interesting possible gear sets from dungeons / trials.

But mainly siege items. Do SO wish they would stack. Or be in a separate bag.

First off, perhaps OP should seek some counseling because being a hoarder is not something healthy. Second, with the huge boost to inventory space given to ESO+ members a short time ago, subscribing would solve much of OP's problem. Third, OP hasn't stated whether or not he has upgraded his inventory space on all his characters; ZOS isn't going to introduce something that takes away from them making money off inventory upgrading.
