OP just disproved their own premise. Trolling or did they fail math?

Since year-ago, ESO has 2.4x as many players, and since 2 years ago, 4.69x as many. That's phenomenal growth, at least among people on Steam, which is a tiny fraction of PC players. April-May was a peak, because that was the release of Morrowind.

At current rates, the entire population of Earth will play ESO on Steam by 2037.

The game is not as popular as it once was. And for good reason.

Given the term 'dying' isn't really applicable, we shall start seeing a general slow death in the next year or so. Given Zenimax seems keen on pissing off it's endgame communities, it will have to rely off the churn generated by creating content like clockwork city.

In the times they do not, IE, the dungeon DLC's, is where you will see the least ammount of players.

But in terms of endgame, yes. The game is dead. The communities have become insular, certain guilds and nothing else. It is becoming too hard to break into these. And while these people will remain, not many will be willing to go to the trouble of doing the research they require.

What -is-- relevent to point out, however, is that the ammount of accounts active, does not mean currently playing.

I'd generally judge ESO as 'dead'. It's running on fumes, depending on some vey specific audiences which are not going to stick around forever. So.

Dying? The Steam population has barely dipped since June, and is still hugely higher than last year. Not sure how your "evidence" proves the game is even doing badly, much less dying.

    They slowly become ghost towns.

Don't see the point in threads like this, and such threads don't help encourage potential new or returning players either.

    Well, now I'm confused.
The point, that you admit to not seeing, is to discourage new and returning players.

This is fundamentally a good game; ruined by greed.

    You clearly don't play.
Neither do I, but with pathetic service, I don't have any choice.

The fact is: With new characters starting in Seyda Neen, all the gameplay is in Vvardelfell and CWC.
Outside those two locations, the game is relatively empty.

No-one is playing in the main overland areas, except those farming materials.

You may choose to continue defending the indefensible; but please stop stalking me.
