✭I don't play through steam, nor do any of my friends, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

You should do like me and play the game...as long as you enjoy it and find people to do what you like...why do you care about statistical crap? if it was that bad ZoS might have done/said something or worst *** down the servers if the profit was low...so stop wasting ur time on charts and instead spend it playing ESO!23 -

My guess = PS4.
Why? Because PC players have other MMORPGs to choose from. Xbox players strike me as being more into sports and Call of Doody games.

General consensus was and probably will be "we don't/can't know, but generally no".

While I agree with you, it is still something companies worry about. Trends. For example take the NFL. They still dominate all sports for ratings. Yet their rating are slipping. So now you have People telling the NFL they need to ‘fix’ their problems.
This isn’t much different. Sure there are many more people playing. Which is great. And a great step up from where we were. But the new trend does show a down turn that new content doesn’t seem to be turning.
In all things and certainly in a video game that might have a longer development cycle you want to see the down turn quicker and hopeful do something to halt it. That is better then saying oh well at least we are better then last year so screw it!
Of course who knows if the steam player base indicate what the actual player base is doing. It is probably a large enough sample, but who knows if steam players play the same as say Xbox players. Steam has so many other options.Edited by vyndral13preub18_ESO on November 10, 2017 3:10AM2 -

No because Xbox players are not only sports or shooter players. They are mulitplayer and social players. This is the reason why Microsoft build the UI around Mixer and a community section. We litteraly have a form of social media dedicated for the console. So there are plenty of players who on Xbox One.2 -

Oh dear. It would Mannimarco has set his sights higher than merely claiming the power of a daedric prince. It would seem he has claimed control over ZOS and used his powers of necromancy to resurrect the game. So what we are really playing is a *gasp* undead game!4 -

✭✭✭✭✭as far as i know, from what i'm seeing from my various guildies... even people who originally bought the game through steam - end up playing it off direct download, due to many and varied steam install issues. most people I know - don't play ESO via steam.
moreover, according to some posters on swtor forums, apparently ESO is one of "The big three" mmos. we are up there with WoW and final fantasy. last but not least, there is my personal experience of actualy playing the game and seeing people everywhere, even in some of the old zones you'd expect to me underpopulated (like shadowfen) or, for that matter how briskly I've been selling just about everything at guild traders.
so i have a feeling that reports of ESO's death just like reports of WoW death are greatly exaggerated.dirty worthless casual.
