That's because the actual return chances are weighted. ZOS uses weighted RNG for everything.
Not every number between 1 and 10 has the same chance, lower numbers are weighted to appear more often.
This is nothing new or unique to ZOS, all games i have ever worked on had weighted loot tables.

I've had 62 alone from pvp and that was from a grand total of eight rewards of the worthy, 20 in one geode, two geodes with 10 in, two geodes contaning 5 crystals and the remaining three geodes had 4 crystals. I reckon I'm having your luck

✭✭This looks perfectly acceptable.
If it was even people would so quickly be able to change the trait on every piece of gear. At that point nobody would be running dungeons anymore. If there is no reason to try and get more gear or upgrade your gear people don't do it.
This is also getting everybody ready for the gear level increase that will come in the next chapter I'm guessing. You'll have some saved up and be able to start changing traits on like CP180 gear.0
