Chat Customization for Console

I know there are add-ons for PC Master Race players, but we Console Peasants do not have such features and I am wondering if there has ever been mention of chat channels being more customizable. For example, I am in 3 different trading guilds, but never do I want to see the chat that is going on in them. Likewise, I am almost never interested in the inane babble going on in regular zone chat. I can turn off ALL chat to avoid the spam from trade guilds and the idiocy going on in whatever zone I'm playing, but that means I lose the ability to see what's going on in my actual guild as well.

Console players have voice chat built in and it's great and I use it often when grouping. When I'm soloing or doing daily writs and the like, I don't always want to have a headset strapped to my skull. Instead, I generally stay logged into the voice channel so I can hear my guildies, but often reply via text input rather than connecting the mic. It's just easier when my chat is infrequent/intermittent.

So is there any hope that a toggle for chat channels is coming to console at any time in the near future? I'd love to just uncheck the boxes for TradeGuild1, TradeGuild2, TradeGuild3, Zone, and leave RealGuild enabled. We have that feature for voice chat channels. Seems like it would be there for text as well.

This would be a great addition to be able to choose the channels that can be seen...

Some other improvements that would be appreciated would be:

    1. Make the chat window bigger...one spam chat from a gold seller and you miss so many messages...
    2. Toggle to keep chat window on screen permanently...

It's not a ZOS feature at all. If someone runs an Add on for them they literally have 0 interest in implementing it as standard (exception being damage numbers when they were added) Such as MS and Sony take care of VOIP functions, on PC ZOS never implemented it as others such as TeamSpeak did it for them.

Right, I get that, @DRXHarbinger, that's why I was asking if anyone knew whether or not it was forthcoming. Features that add-on creators have made popular, whether it is in ESO or other games, often get added into the base code for the game. I mentioned PC because I know they DO have add-ons that address this issue, where console has no add-ons whatsoever. For the most part I am great with that. I really do enjoy playing the game as it is, rather than all dressed up with a ton of bells and whistles, but that doesn't mean there's not room for improvement.

I was just hopeful that there has been some kind of feedback along the way that I missed regarding the potential for chat channels to be disabled. It should be in the base game in my opinion, for all platforms.

Without a doubt it should be, I whole heartedly agree. Nothing worse than walking into town to being spammed with tons of crap for sale. Or as it went on my final Xbox days, some fool crying over incap being broken after losing a duel but broadcasting in ZONE chat.. After me and a few others asked him to stop cluttering our screens with his QQ he then stalked me and told me he was powerful in the game, he is / was the GM of the No1 trials guild on XB and called me a roleplayer and all sorts lol. What console really needs is a blacklist in game too. Just filter out the idiots just like life eventually will.

But OT Yes a proper chat filter would be great, would also be nice to filter out item sales, like not see anything that's green, blue, purple etc, or Materials / weapons only. So much they could do with it.

They don't give a crap about console players.
Why does the trader still not have a search by keyword?
It's so lazy of them to not add BASIC features to the game like being able to opt out of certain chat channels or do a basic key word search. I could spend a couple hours writing a basic code to make both of these work but noooope, not them. It's just so dang lazy on their part.
