Well I'd hope they would fix the scattershot permanent stun cc and the scattershot double cc bugs before reverting the ability to its old state. Being able to lock an enemy out of playing or to cc them twice consecutively are both pretty op.
Last major update devs changed 3 skills that applied disorient status (it can't be blocked so it was a great CC agaisnt permablockers)
Rune Prison (sorc)
Petrify (dk)
Scattershot (bow)
Disorient have been removed from all of them, but Rune Prision and Petrify are still unblockable while Scattershot don't. Devs didn't even explained the logic behind this chage.
It is a masive nerf for that skill considering the permablock meta. I don't think that that skill was overperforming and don't understand why ZoS remove unblockable skills while new undodgeable ones are added every patch.
Please revert this change or make the Scattershot stun unblockable.

As long as it applied disorient status I tough it was ublockable.
Disoriented: Long but fragile disable (cannot perform action). Unlike stun, desorient will break from any damage taken. Disorient goes through block.

It was knockback that applied disorient on landing. You cant knock blocking/immune targets so they can never land and be disoriented
As for short range CC, I bet there is some explanation. Something like to "it has short range to offer strategic gameplay from bow, either choosing to stand back and spam only one ability with cast time all the time, or go to melee range to CC people and spam bashable ability with cast time to their face!"
