Make Scattershot unblockable again.

Last major update devs changed 3 skills that applied disorient status (it can't be blocked so it was a great CC agaisnt permablockers)

Rune Prison (sorc)
Petrify (dk)
Scattershot (bow)

Disorient have been removed from all of them, but Rune Prision and Petrify are still unblockable while Scattershot don't. Devs didn't even explained the logic behind this chage.

It is a masive nerf for that skill considering the permablock meta. I don't think that that skill was overperforming and don't understand why ZoS remove unblockable skills while new undodgeable ones are added every patch.

Please revert this change or make the Scattershot stun unblockable.

    Well I'd hope they would fix the scattershot permanent stun cc and the scattershot double cc bugs before reverting the ability to its old state. Being able to lock an enemy out of playing or to cc them twice consecutively are both pretty op.

    I saw your video about that bug, never happaned to me, I play in PC EU don't know if it is XBOX related. Of course I don't want that exploit to come back, I just want to be able to CC blocking targets with my stamplar dw/bow build.

    Rune prison doesn't even cast while the other guy is blocking. Maybe they should fix the supposed unlockable cc

    I would really like for this skill to get the unblockabls treatment. Being dodgable and reflectable is punishment enough.

    That said it was never unblockable.

    As long as it applied disorient status I tough it was ublockable.


    Disoriented: Long but fragile disable (cannot perform action). Unlike stun, desorient will break from any damage taken. Disorient goes through block.

    Unfortunately the bow doesnt follow the same balance system as the rest of the game. Truly balancing the bow as a ranged weapon is complicated and ZOS has favored the majority with their attempts to balance.

    It was blockable.... I've used it many times and against people who used it... It was always blockable.

    Scatter Shot definitely needs some major buffing.

    Here's a comparison between Magnum Shot & Destructive Clench, looking at the base tooltips of the abilities:

    Magnum Shot
    641 Physical Damage
    10m range
    6m knockback (target & self)

    Destructive Clench
    477 Magic Damage
    629 Magic Damage/8s
    17m range
    fire staff:
    knockback+even more DoT dmg

    So not only does Destructive Clench have a bigger range (the other morph giving 28m range), but it deals more damage as well (without even accounting Master's Destro Staff).


    Also worth noting is that it's even more important to keep distance from your opponent when playing a bow build, as your main damage dealing ability (Snipe) is interruptable and all your bow damage scales based on distance to target.

    Having a skill with 10m range is counterproductive to say the least, and is why I wouldn't ever slot Magnum/Draining Shot on a bow build (only on melee builds with bow off bar).

    It was knockback that applied disorient on landing. You cant knock blocking/immune targets so they can never land and be disoriented



    As for short range CC, I bet there is some explanation. Something like to "it has short range to offer strategic gameplay from bow, either choosing to stand back and spam only one ability with cast time all the time, or go to melee range to CC people and spam bashable ability with cast time to their face!"

    I would be happy with just being able to get the heal from draining shot even if the target isn't stunned. Right now the skill does apsolutely nothing if your target is blocking
