Constant red circles around my character in trials, even if no mobs are around - BUGGED?

I wonder if anyone encountered this bug too lately.

I was in Sanctum Ophidia and then also in Aetherian Archive lately and the whole time during the whole run, my character had a red circle around her, non-stop, so I was not able to track the "real" red circles, to not stand in them.

Anyone encountered this? Or is it some "new" combat settings that applies only for trials and has to be turned off (that have been my first 2 trial runs, so I did not encounter this before).

You may notice your Raid Leader saying at the end of a fight, Spread and Purge. This is because some Mobs have this mechanic where you are given a DoT that comes with a Red Circle. Every time you hit another player with it, you give them the Red Circle and the Dot too. These can stack so it can be quite nasty if you get enough of them. Also, each time you get the red effect, the timer resets.

So, when you see the red circle at your feet that follows you around space yourself from other players so you don't infect them, and stay away from other players who have the effect so you don't catch it. At the end of the fight, spread out from other players until you all lose your Red, or you can just start the whole mess all over again.

And, yes, this is something you only find in Trials. And you really really don't want this to stack in Vet.

interesting, thank you for advice, good to know :).

Not sure if the poison dot in Sanctum can be purged (if so, "purge" here is referring to the synergy of Templars' Ritual, or the Purge skill from the Alliance War Support, which the tank usually does). If not, you just have to wait and sit it out, making sure not to reinfect other players (the "spread out" part).

The poison in Sanctum can't be purged. The lightning AoE in Sanctum and AA can't be purged. You just need to get away from the group and wait it out.

The poison in vSO is still infectious a few seconds after your red circle disappears. Check for the sick green swirls around your char. You can infect other players with that.

I have never used a spell to Purge this, I just wait it out. I don't think it can be purged with a skill. Although, there are some sets that remove negative effects under certain conditions. Wonder if those would work.

In any event, Purge in this case, means wait it out.

You make a thread complaining about a "bug" which is not even a bug, also no idea why you link 4 devs in your thread (not gonna mention one of them is not even responsible for PvE content lol), they have already too big spam with threads like this.

Is this really so difficult to read/watch some guides first about trial mechanics, instead of making false "bug reports" like this?

In SO, there's almost a constant dot on you that shows as an aoe on you. In AA, there are overchargers that cast overcharge on you that appear the same way. These overchargers are also in SO.

maybe you should read my post again, I was not complaining, I was asking if it was a bug or what is it.
I tagged 3 community managers (Gina, Kai, Jessica), because they are the ones who reply the most here. And Brian, I thought he might be the one responsible for dungeons (maybe I am wrong here and it was someone else).

I got my replies, all what I needed to know. So really no need to make your own "complaining reply" here ;)

The person you're thinking of is Finn, Brian is the PVP guy.

You started off calling it a bug, just saying. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
