Cyrodiil performance (screenshots)

I just put there few screenshots to imagine how ESO64 client works... 50% utilization of CPU (looks like only 3 cores trying to do something), 13% avg utilization of GPU (its not working properly, it is just spiking) , 3.5GB RAM used by ESO64 process. I have graphic setting lowest as possible (but performance of my hardware is not a problem, as we can see). Average fps deep in the battle is like 2-10 and latency spiking from 500 to 999+. At top of that, no sound in battles, since last patch.

This game needs real change, not little patches like "we optimized fps little bit", we cant see that :( ... i love this game, its pure awesomness, but this performance killing me :s

Run the same analytics in no CP.

CP, perhaps the worst end game char progression system ever implemented into an MMO (hows that for dramatic effect?) is likely the culprit.

The servers arent just calcing you, they are calcing everyone else.

I'm just used to play CP campaign and i want to play on Vivec, limited only by performance of my PC, not the servers. Servers should handle that easily, even CPs and not to lag clients... What are these servers then? Regular PCs on dial up or what :D If is something going on 100% and failing to handle tasks, i upgrade it... its end of 2017, there is crazy brutal hardware in the world, but not in ESO servers...

I've played no-CP during peak times and was just marginally less lag & stutter. And I'm not even sure it was due to the lack of CP or simply slightly less players around - people tend to queue mostly for CP. Most lag is probably caused indirectly by client side - the server waits for people with slower machines and/or connections so everybody is experiencing the same speed. I'm absolutely sure my client causes the most stutters in PvE too. For example if I try running vMA straight after logging 10 other chars and doing various other activities for a couple of hours, by the time I reach the Ice Rink it becomes next to unplayable with stutters that don't even show up on the ping or frame trackers, hits from mobs that are not rendered yet etc. If I restart the game before going in I have no such trouble. Same thing happens in Cyrodiil after a couple of hours: I get hit by attacks before players are shown, my own abilities don't fire properly, my frame freezes for a few seconds. If I restart the client and go in again I usually enjoy 1-2 hours of relatively smooth gameplay.

If we need to restart client time to time for better performance, its just broken client. I can play other online games for example month constantly without restarting PC or client and my FPS and latency stay all the time same...

And if people with slow computers, slowing down all the population, cuz servers waits for them, this is not serious game... i'll buy 20 ESO clients, run them on prehistoric PC even with lag-switching software, spread my chars all around cyrodiil to affect other players and everybody will have 1fps ??? That's ridiculous...

Oh I think your premise is correct, you should be able to play the game in CP campaigns. I mean its the end game char development mechanic why wouldnt you want to do that.

The issue isnt you, or your PC the issue is the champion system is really bad. The scope of its failure is broad, youre addressing only part of it, the server lag it induces through thousands of calculations in cyrodiil.

You really cant do much with this though, fixing the problem would require ZOS to do a mia culpa that they in fact arent very good at managing many game aspects. (we should note many things in the game are spectacular). They simply lack the humility and honesty to do it.

According google, ESO release date 4th April 2014, WoW release date 23rd November 2004. Maybe ZOS team needs 10 more years to put this game in some general/all aspects wise playable status. ;)

BTW To not sound as some random crying jerk, i put to this game lots of money, i bought all DLCs one by one, i bought many items from crown store and now i'm on half year preprayed subscription.
Thing is, for me is game performance (fps, latency) at the first place, and i can barely see reflection of my money putted into this game in that aspect.
If i was role-player oriented to graphics, lore and content, i don't say single bad word about this game...

One thing to note is that ESO has a huge amount of content, yet uses only a couple GB of RAM. I'd like to see the client make use of my 32GB; keep all the 3D models, textures, and sounds in Cyrodiil in memory, and chuck them into the GPU when necessary, rather than having them chucked into the GPU from a HDD or SSD.

It would be nice, if game can decide how much stuff load to RAM based on actual amount of RAM. Maybe you spend more time on loading screen, going form zone to zone, but then you don't have to load things walking around.
