I have been trying to get a little bit more health with my altmer sorcerer. I was thinking about going 5 rattlecage because it's heavy but will also help with health and spell damage. The other set I will run is necro with destro staff. Any other thoughts on sustaining health?

Heavy Armor has bad synergy with magsorc. If you need to sustain health, use power surge or mutagen on your resto staff, but in reality nobody should touch your health as you are constantly using Wards...

✭✭✭✭✭Summoning a pet gives 8% health. Undaunted passive gives up to 6%. You can get another 2% from each piece of heavy armor used. Slotting structured entropy also gives 8%, but is not really needed on a sorc with power surge.3 -

✭✭You can enchant your large armor piecs (chest, legs and head) with a tri stat glyph.. that helps out your hp.
I have also run just a hp enchant on my chest piecs which is great for soloing world bosses.1 -

For pve, undaunted passives give a 6% boost to health if you run 1 heavy, 1 medium, 5 light. Your ward should be more than enough to help you out with survival given you have bistat food on as well. Like others said, your pet gives a health boost though I assume you already use a pet due to having necro equipped. If you have run through dungeons and have undaunted keys to spend then there are plenty of monster sets that you could use that give a one piece health bonus, maw of the infernal comes to mind as the two piece would give you another pet. Finally, you could make a couple of tri-stat glyphs which would give a bit more health while still maintaining a decent magicka pool.
For pvp, it really depends on what sort of build you're running/playstyle you're aiming for, so more info would be needed.0
