    To me, this post looks like an excuse for why you lost. The addon is 100% legitimate, so either get it or stop using it as an excuse for losing.

    The best PVE excuse I've heard is:

    "Oh, I didn't know that frost staff heavy attacks (with the passive) taunt the boss. Sorry. :( "

    Miat's addon is only possible because the game allows access that that one function that can ID if there is a ability that is being cast on you from stealth or is about to Stun you...

    Same thing happens when you just start the game and the enemy NPC is about to stun you with some sort of telegraph attack and UI puts the "Press whatever button to dodge" message.

    I don’t think you understand what the word “excuse” means.

    An excuse is something you make to rationalize why you lost. Why you’re a loser. I did not get stomped in PvP and come to the board to blame an add on as an excuse.

    Miat’s is an excuse that bad players use to justify why they lost. I can’t wait for it to be removed so that I can see what bad players use afterwards. I’m thinking it’ll be either cost poisons or potions. I hope you can let me know soon.

    Is it? Either way; I take advantage of what’s available and that makes some abilities more available.

    why is it legitimate? it is cheating. it shows you something, which should not be shown, so it is not at all legitimate

    Can't you beat him without an stealth opening? If not, well he is right. Miat or not a duel will end with the same result.

    wait, is this actually a thing?

    I main a tank and regularly run random normals, where this is a thing. If I notice that taunt is getting pulled off my tank, I'll keep an eye out and usually its a DPS with a low level character who didn't know using an ice staff.

    Now, the strangest one I had was a DPS using Onehand & Shield to Puncture the boss, which also has a taunt. I was like "Haven't seen that before."

    It is legitimate because the makers of the game say it is. If you don’t think that the creators and enforcers of the rules have any say in what should or should not be allowed then there’s no point in having this discussion. Regardless, ZOS has said that they are going to change their ruling on Miat’s soon, so when they say it is illegal it will be illegal and that is that.

    Miat’s doesn’t work in duels, only in cyrodil and BGs.

    No they didn't, they just haven't taken action yet...just because the majority...or minority for that matter THINK something is right, doesn't give them the power to trample on an individuals right.
