'Unofficial' Xbox controller support?

Is anyone successfully using a non xbox controller with ESO? My 360 controller has broken and cannot seem to find a new one so thinking of buying a generic PC controller for about £15 rather than an Xbox One gamepad for £45 plus. However, I'm not sure if it would be supported by the game.

Would be grateful for any input.

I have used a rock candy one before and it works so I don't see why not

Thank you. Will give a normal one a go. The rate I go through controllers, £45 a time is getting expensive ☺

No problem, I use xpadder instead of in-game controller support but that's personal preference
