While what you describe may have been true at launch, there is now so much content that there's no need to stick to the same rigid leveling path. Of course, if you choose to do so then that is your prerogative! You could, however, roll a new EP character and get the first 25-30 levels in Vvardenfell, then do assorted DLCs and get to level 50 without ever stepping foot in Stonefalls, Deshaan, Shadowfen etc!

That is a legitimate idea, but the Questline of Vvardenfell is supposed to be a sequel to the Main Story right? I'm such a stickler for Continuity.

How do you people do it? Give me an insight into the mentality of the clinically diagnosed Altoholic.
Over the course of my time in the game I've created around 9 or 10 characters, most kept, some deleted. The Event's +100% xp gain made me think about recreating my Dunmer character Teva Hlaalu MagDK so I can experience the wonderful world of Whipping again with a Race that actually suits a MagDK. But I'm such a staunch Pact player which means all of my characters have to be Pact, just so everything is uniform, tidy, whatnot. I've gone through these questlines like ten times now and I made it as far as Fort Virak and Level 25 when I've just lost all desire to continue. I have this pet peeve where I need my characters to at least have The Alliance Questline and the Main Story cleared, if not Silver and Gold as well for me to feel satisfied with them. But now I just can't stand the thought of going through all of Stonefalls, Deshaan, Shadowfen etc AGAIN.

Yeah, you might miss a few skillpoints in one quest, or another, but it's not like you need all the crafting stuff on all the characters, so you don't require to quite literally collect them all.

It technically is a continuance of the main story/Orsinium. ***SPOILERS***At the end of Orsinium, The Prophet will appear and tell you "A great war is coming. A war between the forces of Oblivion. The Daedric Princes are choosing sides. The great deceiver, the sewer of discord, and the patron of darkness plot a great deception."(Clavicus Vile, Mephala, and Nocturnal), and that "The war shall begin when the gates to Sotha Sil's lost city are reopen. So the Scrolls portend, so shall it be"
