Said one person was a tank who sprinted ahead aggroing multiple groups at a time (and getting us killed), nearly skipped Iceheart (whom I needed for the pledge) until I refused to move from the door, and then proceeded to tell us "You guys need to follow the tank." So of course I get the necklace he wants, and he starts pestering me before I even processed what loot I got. Told him "No, I need it." (I didn't really, but I wasn't about to give it to him after that)
Was this enough for him? Of course not. He continues to message me repeatedly, and finally says "I'll pay you for it." Knowing RNG-based desperation and wanting him to just go away, I agree and offer to part with it for 10k, which is my standard jewelry bounty when I just can't get what I'm looking for to drop, even after 10 runs in a day, and he accepts. And he then proceeded to cuss me out for charging him, and put me on ignore before I could even get a word in edgewise.
As others have said, if I want to part with something, I'll link it. I'd prefer you mention it at the beginning, maybe a reminder at the end or after the boss(es) that drop it, so I know I'm looking for something and need to wait afterward, rather than thanking people for group, ensuring everyone's turned in the quest, and leaving. But if you're pushy and a jerk, I'd rather destroy it on the spot.
I don't like the addon. It feels too much like rifling through someone's luggage or bags at a supermarket, holding up a toothbrush, and going "I need one of these. Can I have it?" If you want to use it and know how close you're coming to what you're after or whether to even mention you're looking for something, that's great. But please be a decent person, both during the dungeon and after when we're looking at loot (we're not just three lootsacks to take whatever you might need from). If not?
What your addon doesn't show is that I accidentally on purpose destroyed that piece of loot you were harrassing me about and demanding I give you. Better luck next time.
You realize that if there were no addon, that dude would repeatedly pester you to link him your loot until you do, which is even more annoying than what he did, right?
