Malevolent Offering targets Torchbugs

As the title states. When I'm targeting enemies(or nothing) the skill works as expected and will heal myself. However, after hitting the skill a few times I noticed that my health was going down and yet I was no longer getting the HOT. I then realized that there was a torchbug in the distance and began to see if that was the cause. Well, it was. Your character will play a slight jerk animation and then stop. Your health will go down, however there will no healing.

✭This happens with a lot of skills that should only either target allies or enemies that are a threat. They will often target the weak passive critters. Torchbugs are an extremely odd case though in that they can't be affected normally because they're essentially a crafting node/container. I guess they made that work without them being targetable and attacked by having them be listed as an ally.
This game is getting more and more buggy with what abilities affect what.0 -

✭I noticed this effect is happening in the Clockwork City content as well, but not for our own abilities as much.
Factotums will heal Kireth Vanos when she cries out for healing, even though they are her enemies.
Also, Skaafin and other enemies will randomly target fabricant scorpions running around rather than my character.
This is also likely what is causing my ground targeted effects to end immediately when all enemies in combat with me die, not at their full duration. Perhaps it is registering them as buffs to the target.
Something tells me this has something to do with the check for CC immunity for Rune Cage and Petrify and Eclipse so that you can't cast them on targets that are immune. I think this because only allies/allied npcs tend to be immune to negative effects and having it classified odd to make this work could have cause the bug with many other skills.0 -

wow, that is similar to gap closer targeting rats and insects
(a bug which was in the game earlier)
