This game doesn’t use inventory based crafting equipment so I’m thinking no. Let’s leave the crafting equipment as is, and let’s move fishing into a crafting line passive under one of the existing lines. Provisioning seems to make best sense to me.

This would or should replace the recipe color passive.
And that recipe color passive should move to the overall passive that progresses food recipe levels as that’s where it should’ve been all along IMO

    More skill points needed though

No it’s the same, just replace....
As is fishing gets no improved passive.....if it’s moved to a passive, the option for improved results occurs vs as is.

A resource used for a sub-system should in general have AN OPTION to gain it from that sub-system and not require exclusive work outside that sub-system. As perfect roe has expanded into delicacies with DLC after DLC, it should have more than the one way to bring it into the game.

Keep it same as nirncrux. Want it? Farm it. Or buy it from someone who farmed it. Either way some things in the game should simply have to be worked for or bought from someone who worked for it (at their price of course).

Fishing has proven to be the most boring thing in ESO ever since beta so I think it's time to make perfect roe a matt reachable to people who don't have that much time.

I enjoy fishing in eso from time to time but any sort of material associated with crafting should be part of the writ reward table, as well as occasionally available through hirelings. Especially maxed out ones

If you don't have time or willingness to fish, buy it from someone who has. I hate PvP, so I buy the faction motifs from the PvP brutes - that's how it works.

If you dont want go fishing because its boring for you why not buy a stack of fish from the guildstore? Same rules apply to nirncrux, too lazy too farm it, well then you have to buy it, same goes for gear and so on...you dont want to do the "boring" stuff, spend some money. Its a win-win situation for everyone, you dont have to spend hours doing something you dont like and the guy who did it gets some money for his effort

All writs aside from Alchemy and Provisioning drop gold quality materials. Alchemy doesn't have any gold quality materials.

Seems logical to me that Provisioning would drop Perfect Roe at the same (or slightly lower) rate that the other writs drop their gold mats.

There is currently no incentive to do Provisioning writs. This would be one.

I wouldn't mind a high level rare chance for a Perfect Roe. All the equipment writs have a chance for gold rewards.

But not so common as to compete with fishing.

I say yes only because the other writs all have a chance at their corresponding gold materials, which is the only reason I do them. However, I think fishing should still play a large role in the drop rate. So a Master Angler could have a much higher chance of receiving a roe than someone who has only fished a few zones, and people who have not completed any fishing achievements would have almost no chance at all. It might actually make more people interested in fishing.

As said above, either get out there & fish or just buy it off those who like fishing. Should not be a craft writ drop.

Would you suggest nirncrux is also available then? That's also a crafting element that needs to be farmed.

It's not like fishing is difficult ffs.

It’s not even set up that if you fish, you’ll get the result you desire. It’s a rng reseult that resets each fishing attempt rather than being a cumulative result.

Buying the ingredient from a guild store.....for me is out of the question. There are things I’ll buy but things that are set way out of whack due to intentional rng designs aren’t that. Let people work for them in a meaningful way and offer another way to gain access from our own efforts please.

It should already be a thing in my opinion. Fishing is not a fun activity for some people, like myself. It makes me dizzy actually. Like motion sickness. Only thing in the game that makes me feel sick, so I try not to do it very much. It would be super great if we could on occasion get one doing writs, just like gold mats in other professions.

Fishing is enjoyable and takes some commitment, the payback for time and gold spent on bait is the perfect roe.
Master Angler is a much coveted title.
Perfect roe should not drop from a few minutes spent at a cooking fire.

No, it's not pointless if you want perfect roe without buying it. I make all my money off of perfect roe......well, and stealing. I put in a lot of time to get the roe and I think it's wrong to give it to people just for doing a writ. Like I said, roe is the ONLY reward for fishing and if they start to give it in other ways then fishing does become pointless. I say leave it alone.

Since all the other skills drop gold mats in writ rewards, why not?

Being able to get perfect row from crafting would make it possible to do the Psyjic Ambrosia and Bear Haunch master writs without having to spend 25K at the guild store.

    I don't see a downside to this.
