With a re-trait option, what is the most you will pay for preferred trait overland gear?

I've made a lot of gold selling preferred trait overland gear, but I suspect spriggan's and spinners jackpots are over. So I'm asking how much would you pay to avoid collecting the crystals? I think that's the most an item could possibly go for and even there demand is going to go way down. I could be wrong, but I don't see items currently selling for 15k and below taking much of a hit. What do you think?

I wish i could find the stuff i'm looking for, most of the time there is zero items listed.
    I'd be happy to pay 15k ...

Red Mountain Daggers anyone? Anyone? I don't even care about the trait at this point.

I assume you're on a console? TTC shows a bunch for PC-NA Bad traits are pretty cheap. So let me ask you, if you could buy a green powered dagger of the red mountain for 500g, what's the most you would pay for a purple sharpened one? Assuming both options were on the table at this moment.

i wouldent pay more then a few k for any overland gear. the crystals dont go past what 200 right? and its 50 to retrait. am i right? im on xbox so im not lucky enough to be in clockwork.

so at some point as with anything ill have so many that ill HAVE to spend them. or else i wont be accumulating anymore.

i could buy any gear i want on a whim and have a fully perfect trait set at some point

. im gunna be buying parts to sets i dont even want at some point just to retrait em to get rid of my crystals

I'll still happily pay the same. I might die of old age before I get 50 crystals.

I'm on PC/NA. I'm sure some backwater trader somewhere has one at some point or another, the problem is finding one (well, two actually).

As for as how much i would pay, first of all, the quality means nothing to me. As a master crafter, it could be white for all i care. So being purple does not appeal or make me want to fork out more gold.

In case of the RM daggers, i'd say maybe 20k tops for a sharpened one ...

I couldn't actually give an amount I would be willing to pay because a lot would depend on if I have transmutation crystals already saved up or not and what the cost difference is as well as how immediate the urgency to acquire the item is at that particular moment.

Questions like this are too subjective to offer any real insight into cost differences as each person will place the value based on many factors, not just the cost. If you asked me today if I would buy a particular weapon for an alt that I may or may not play once a week or so, the answer would be that I would buy the cheapest item and eventually retrait it, or I wouldn't buy it at all and just wait until I get it as an accidental drop.

There's a unique infused dagger that drops from one of the WBs.

This whole preferred trait market has never affected me.

I use 5 piece Crafted Sets, so I make my weapons and large pieces in that which are the most difficult to get. Then I can farm dolmens just like anyone else and I am willing to use Blue Jewelry if I have to as I understand the difference, or, rather the lack of the difference. So, that just leaves the small pieces, which even in the preferred traits don't cost all that much, and are certainly easy to farm on Delve Bosses.

Yes it depend on how hard you need it. You might have 100 gems in an month but you want the weapon for the new character you leveled now. In 2-3 months I guess price will stabilize on 20-50K.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

    this.

at least with overland gear, I can pay someone else to get the right item. things like monster masks and shoulders? are BoP. so for retraiting, they are the priority, especially given how sparse the crystal drops are.

The same as last patch, 100k+ for perfect trait.

Right now? No change, crystals are for BoP gear. IA/VO/VMA weapons specifically.

In a few months when crystals are falling out of my pockets and almost all my chars have BiS gear I think I'll pay 30k.

Depends on the set, how hard to get it is, and how important I think it is. I have a bunch of gold. I don’t have many stones. I might not actually spend either now that I think about it. Zos keeps nerfing popular sets, so I’d probably just wait a couple months.

I could still see some perfect trait weapons going for 50-100k, to save a few days grinding transmute stones. I think the days of 500k gear pieces are over though.

Crafted sets are nice while leveling, but once you get CP160, you really should switch to dropped sets. This will allow you to run 3 set bonuses (2 5pc and monster - provided you're using DW or 1h/s) instead of 5pc and 4pc.
