Bigger pics for crafting gear

I love to craft my own gear, but find myself having to search on ESO Fashion what styles look like to compare. It would be so nice to have bigger images of the items we might have to use a lot of mats for (cp160 anything) or wanting to try using a style mat that we don't have many of. I'm on ps4 and even zooming in doesn't always give a clear picture for some things. If it can be done for crafting household items, it can be done for armor and weapons, too, yeah? Or am I just lazy?, lol. Just something I've wondered since I've gotten more into crafting.

P.S. Also, don't know bout y'all, but I'm still hoping to be able to dye my weapons grips and bow quiver one day...

We should have a preview, like the one on CS Motifs.

There is an add-on for this on PC (for any PC players who aren't aware): http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1598-CraftingPreviewArmor.html

ZOS was working on this feature earlier in the year, not sure what happened to it (at least they released the API for it).

I'd love it to be like the furnishing, where you can just click to take a closer look.

Awesome! No more craft-your-entire-set-in-Primal-cause-the-preview-looks-coolish then! (Or worse crafting a cool heavy for my girl and it's a Pillow Chest™... :s).

Four Add Ons from the top of my head Zos should implement or enable in the base game are Advanced Filters, Advanced Guild Store and - THIS! Also make the minimap from Beta that is still in game but disabled a toggle.

    I use this
    https://eso.mmo-fashion.com/comparison/

If crafting cp160 gear and not sure how it will look I make an low cp version to check it out,

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

That's what I use to compare, too, but it would be helpful to have the images bigger right there on the creation screen, imo.

I will also craft lower level stuff, but if I only have a few of the (sometimes expensive to buy) mats of the style I want, no guarantee I will get that back when I deconstruct it.

I agree a preview would be very convenient and a logical feature, instead of be forced every time to look on websites to know how the item we are going to craft looks like.

This is a sidenote, but the game is completely different on a large t.v. than on a computer monitor. Everything from the crafting icon to what people's toons actually look like becomes clear even without first person mode.

I usually only look at gaming monitors, but a while back I saw rave reviews about gaming on t.v.'s. The last time I bought a t.v. was a few years before that, and I decided to check out what was available. I was stunned to see that you can buy a 50-65" t.v. nowadays for not much more than a gaming monitor. Heck, there was an online add for a decent 4k 55" screen at walmart for about $450. You couldn't touch a flat panel for less than $1k last time I looked, and that $1k got you poop.

If you play competitively, even the OLED t.v.s are coming down in price, and some of those are great for gaming.

@Wreuntzylla I used to play on a really old boxy kine tv, but have a much better and bigger screen now and still can't see the icons very well, lol.

It's partially a function of improving resolution. For 1080p the recommendation is to sit something like 10' from your t.v. For 4k+ resolution, it drops to 4'. If you have a big t.v., go stand 4' from it. It's something I would have thought was crazy, except that....

There was a big sale on 55" LG OLED t.v.s near where I live that effectively dropped the price to about 1k USD, and since I needed a new t.v. anyway I decided to grab one. I picked the particular model because it has a gaming mode that is competitive with the bottom end of pro-gaming monitors. That mode drops the resolution to 1080P, but I switch to movie mode when not in PvP.

The difference is unreal. It's a completely different game. For the first few days I couldn't do anything serious because I would constantly stop to look around. It's funny because I used to mentally dismiss people's complaints about not having a game texture pack for ESO, and now I totally agree with them.

In any case, that's why it's a sidenote, it's not a reasonable option for casual players. I just wanted to throw it out there for anyone who is so into ESO they would drop that kind of money.

Edit: I lost the t.v. to the family :( but will grab another one just for ESO if another sale comes up. it's not just the size and resolution, the OLED t.v.'s are on a whole different level from every other kind. They say it's because of the perfect blacks, but <shrug> the vibrancy of the color is also unbelievable.
