3 minute timer on plunder skulls

    3 minutes is not enough, it should be 5+
    They should put them on quest turn in's too.

    If ZOS put them on other things people would actually play the game. I understand if you have completed all the games content and zerging delve bosses is your only option but I assume since they made it XP oriented too that they want you to actually play the game rather than just standing around waiting on a boss that will be dead seconds after respawn.

    If people find that fun, more power to them. I did the delve and dungeon runs, I just didn't wait more than a respawn or two because I got bored :(

    It seems Zos enjoy grief inducting systems like 3 minute timers. So many players will not wait few more seconds so all can get plunder skull from a boss, resulting in players hating others. GG Zos.

    The timer sucks. I got stiffed out of two skulls in a dungeon run last night just because we had a good group. We were easily getting to the next boss and killing it before the cool down reset.

    Of course, if your camped at a boss, the 3 minute timer sucks. Stop Camping at a boss. Can there be a more boring way to play the game?

    In the normal course of the game, you get a skull on every boss kill as your killing them more than 3 minutes apart. The only exception to this is Public Dungeons as the bosses can be close together. But, you usually wait for bosses in those places anyway.

    Just play the game you will get more skulls than you want soon enough.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    It turned into 2nd job. At least, for us trying to get achievement on all alts. You need 100 skulls for each of your alts. That is more than 5 hours per alt. If you try to get in on 10 alts, you would need to play more than 5h per day each day for 10 days. That is simply crazy.

    These events should be account wide, or 3 minute timers should go.

    Remove it. The natural spacing between bosses should prevent normal abuses and not penalize us for ZoS's lack of foresight in boss placement.

    Let's check it:

    Dolmens - No problem. One boss at the end of the sequence. Sometimes, if you're doing dolmen farming you will run into the issue but unless you are doing it in one of the easy zones, it's USUALLY not an issue.

    Overland Bosses - The timer on the boss re-spawn timers prevents this from occurring on farming the same boss, but boss farming circuits can easily outstrip this.

    Normal Group Dungeons - Problems with NORMAL dungeons. Because we blitz through the normal dungeons, you FREQUENTLY miss out on skulls by as much as a minute or two - again, because of the design of the dungeon and/or boss placement

    Vet Group Dungeons - Problems even with VET dungeons. A good group can get through many bosses and be on to the next one before the 3 minute timer - again, because of the design of the dungeon and/or boss placement. This is less frequent than normal mode.

    Public Dungeons - Biggest problem areas. Many dungeons have bosses so close, you may only get a skull every 2nd or 3rd (or 4th) boss you kill.

    Delves - Usually not a problem. The boss re-spawn timers keep this from being an issue and it's not really possible to get to 2 delve bosses in 3 minutes in most cases.

    OK, the over all one is that the skull achieve is part of.

    Better get farming then. They are not going to change this, they did not when people wanted it account wide last year. Or, pick the character that has the best chance of getting the title.

    At first I was like "Oh three minutes is fine I have yet to be personally affected by this" but then I did vet Wayrest Sewers 2 and half the bosses didn't drop skulls because we took them out too fast and they're like one right after the other. :-( Feels bad, yo.

    Ive been grinding them in secret locations, dungeon bosses. With a literal 3 min timer. 2 bosses spawning close to one another, Literaly every 3 min i get a skull.

    UNLESS - some frigg@#)%*@#)%@)$Y$ zerg decides to come and messes up spawns and early kills everything cz they cant wait. THen everything gets thrown out of wack, boss is forced spawn, early killed, drops nothing, or drops but no skull, etc..

    Aka. calm down people and take your time. Running around killing bosses as fast as possible is a good way to have a skull every 5 min+ only (sometimes 10 mins if you get unlucky and are on a pattern of forced spawns). Find an area and just take it slow. If you find a boss and someone is waiting next to it, not attacking it, its smarter to not attack it. Its probably timed. Talk, ask. - If they dont answer, they migth be afk and go ahead, kill boss.

    Delve bosses are 4 minutes, but they spawn naturally on a 5 minute timer. (unless someone comes into the delve)

    I thought the timer was 5 mins. I just go find a boss in a public dungeon that I can easily solo. Spawns every 5 mins, 15 seconds of combat, drops a skull every time. As an added bonus, I sit and troll the forums while I wait for respawn.

    I myself am just about over the skulls. I keep getting the same things over and over again with no masks whatsoever. I thought about buying one, but people want a ridiculous amount for them. I have lost count of all the skulls I have gotten. I did get a 6th piece of something or rather...part of a rune box for a costume that needs 7 pieces.

    I myself am just about over the skulls. I keep getting the same things over and over again with no masks whatsoever. I thought about buying one, but people want a ridiculous amount for them. I have lost count of all the skulls I have gotten. I did get a 6th piece of something or rather...part of a rune box for a costume that needs 7 pieces.

    I have found enough branches, sticks, saplings, or whatever they are to start my own forest. I destroy them if I am out of space and not near a merchant, vendor them if there is no reason to go the bank, and bank them if I think they might have resale value in a couple months.

    Some guy in a delve went into a tirade over them. It was pretty entertaining.

    @Ridinghood2000, I finally got a mask yesterday after opening around 300 skulls. I'd been plundering like crazy the first few days then was only able to get on for about an hour yesterday and got 10 skulls, it was in the 9th. Don't give up hope!!

    Oh I HATE those twigs!!!! They get destroyed. I have destroyed a couple of recipes or motifs..I guess I should save those. Maybe they might be worth something later on lol

    It's 3 Mins. I have an addon that starts the clock as soon as I pick up a skull and when it shows 3 minutes are up, you get a skull. I even tested this with guildmates on a boss in a Group Dungeon. We killed it at 3:03 on the timer and got a skull. Kill it at 2:58 and no skull.

I have a favorite PD that gives me 4 bosses on a lap that is easy to do 3 minutes apart, so little waiting. Since there are 4, I have spawn at each one as I get there (12 minute round trip, always 9 minutes since I last killed a specific one). So I wait for the timer to get to 2:55 and take down the boss.

    That's the addon I'm using. I run the public dungeon in Deshaan so there's no shortage of boss kills, but if I start combat with one at 3:01 I don't get a skull.

    And, just to repeat, if you are in a Delve it is four minutes between boss kills. As @Nestor said, it does not matter when it spawns, only when it is killed.

    That is weird. I spent about an hour running around the PD in question. 3 minutes was the time.

    Well, just more skulls for me then..... B)

    I would test the Delve one, but I can't think of any two delves that are close enough and small enough to do 3 minutes apart. Hmm, there is a small one in Rivenspire close to a WS that I might be able to do that with after taking down the dolmen up there.
