@Izaki Slimecraw is not exactly a great set - sadly.
I´ve tested quite a few setups and so far i could not find one where slimecraw would outperform two permanent 5p bonuses (it´s worse than shackle seducer, shackle lich, amber seducer, amber lich, amber julianos).
lol, people are arguing amber + trifood vs shackle + with mothers? It actually isn't even a comparison at all shackle + witchmothers is just better and if you haven't switched to it yet, you should.
2 main reasons:
1) Max Magicka > the extra regen (from amber) for mag sorc. Max magicka gives you damage, more resource and SHIELDS which is the only way you're staying alive out there. And all you have to do is enchant 2 jewelry pieces with recovery and you will have enough magicka recovery if you're running shackle. Run nirnhoned front to make up for lost spell damage.
2) You don't need that much stam (from the tri food) and you don't need that much stam regen. Shackle already gives you max stam and a little bit of stam regen. That little bit is enough. It's not your main resource, and as long as you're not sprinting all over the place you'll have plenty of stam. You will already notice it regenerating at a very fast rate with shackle. Add in stam recovery cp and there is NO need for the extra stam regen from amber.
The only other advantage Amber offers is that little bit of crit and the amount it offers is completely insignificant next to what can be achieved with Shackle with mag sorc.
There is no comparison, and I am surprised people are arguing this.

I’m running duel wield sorcerer with resto on back. My sets are 5 litch and 5 Shackle with Infernal Guardian set. (Infused on big and impen on small (will be changing to divines since my shield is always up)
My Stats: 43 000 magica, 2200 magica recovery and 1800 spell damage before buff.
Front bar: Rune Cage due to the nerf coming to frags and I might as well get use to adding it to my combo, Mage wrath (Not sure if this is magic damage or not), frags (Magic damage), Structured Entropy (Magic damage), Haunting Curse (Magic damage),
I have been thinking of swapping out litch with War Maiden due to following:
(2 items) Adds 833 Spell Critical
(3 items) Adds 1096 Max Magica
(4 Items) Adds 129 Spell Damage
(5 Items) Adds 400 Spell Damage to your Magic Damage abilities
Is this the right way to go as far as upping my dps or is it the wrong set for my type of build.

Mage's Wrath (why not Endless Fury?) is shock damage. More importantly, what ultimates do you commonly use? The only magic damage ultimates Sorc gets are Soul Strike and Oppression Field (Negate), the bonus damage from Light's Champion would also be increased with War Maiden.

You DEFINTIELY need more damage on a DW build. You don't need as much sustain compared to staff builds which lets you add more damage. Currently you're effectively using 1.5 sustain sets. I tend to use 1.5 damage sets - so yeah, swapping out lich is a good way to go.
Never tried war-maiden but always toyed with the idea of it (I prefer max mag over spell-dmg). Wrath is lightning damage so will not be affected by war-maiden - but when their health gets that low, you probably don't need it anyways..
I also find that mix-matching monster sets for stats is generally better for DW too, and can let you fine-tune your build a bit. I don't think IG hits often enough without a reliable snare.

I tend to run around 50k-52k mag and 2500 spelldmg (buffed). Can push to 3k spelldmg if I totally sacrifice sustain - but that's with pets.

Hi,
Using Wrath as people tend to bottle neck at keeps and this way I can hit more flies with one swat lol.
I use Empowered Ward For the magic return (10% recovery for 10 sec) that I lost by not slotting Fury and I swap ulti between
Suppresion field (gaurds at flags), Shooting star (for open world timed with rune gage and frags)
Light's Champion is always on my back bar

Its pretty easy to get, to be fair. Full Necropotence(infused on the big pieces), max mag monster pieces, inner light, mage mundus, tri-food and a max mag bonus or 2 from your other set (could be shackle, spinners, julianos..)
My favourite for last patch (haven't redone it yet for CWC) was a simple necro/shacklebreaker and 1 shadowrend (for a little more mag recov) with witchmothers.
It dropped the max mag a little (49.5k) but sustain was absolutely fine (both mag and stam). Back bar had less mag tho - just due to missing inner-light. Can run the same setup with staff too.

Oh, now I typed the name wrong myself.
Well, Shooting Star isn't buffed by War Maiden, but it might still be a good option, as Curse and Fragments are affected.
Otherwise the only reliable dropped damage sets that would work for your build are Spinner and Treasure Hunter (unless you get Major Prophecy by other means already).
If you were going to switch your entire setup around and use another crafted set instead of Shacklebreaker, then you could try Clever Alchemist or Mechanical Acuity. But the former won't be up most of the time and the latter requires to react immediately once the buff appears and preferably already have Curse on your target, so it's not likely to work open world.
Innate Axiom would have the same limitations as War Maiden.

You would get another stam bonus with 5 Shackle (body), 3 Willpower (jewelry), 1 Domihaus, 1 other max mag monster piece, 2 Swords with another max mag bonus.
Then you can switch the 2nd monster piece and the sword set if you want something else. If sustain is fine, the monster piece should probably stay max mag, but you can use a spell damage bonus on the swords since you lose it on resto.
These setups just mean giving up Infernal Guardian.

Dude: OMG you dropped Lich resto! I need that badly. I'll buy it off you.
Me: Errm alright, that's what I'm in here for too. How much are you offering?
Dude: 4k
Me: Dude.... I'm like a 100 runs deep for this Resto. You'd think I give it away for 4k?
Dude: And I'm 200 runs deep!
Me: So you want it badly enough to do 200 runs, but you're only offering 4k?
Me: C'mon, if you really want it make me your best offer
Dude: 5k

I offered 500k to a guildmate for a defending lich resto staff when it dropped. I got denied. Haha. Which reminds me, I have several in bad traits and now we can do something about that.
Also, lots of debate here about Amber vs. Shackle. Am I the only one that runs both? Havent been doing it that long, but I have been going Amber, Shackle, Domhiaus, Witchmothers recently. Sustain is simply not an issue and with 3 spell damage enchants on my jewelry, I hit plenty hard. I have even considered dumping witchmothers for blue magic health. Unless I am spamming streak, I dont see my magic below 50% pretty much ever. Not too mention, I have 1500 stamina with almost 1200 stam recovery. I can roll dodge and break free for days. It has allowed me to ditch dark conversion for rune cage now that we lost our knockdown from frags. It might be overkill on sustain, but I think I am okay with that.
