Why are vendor prices so low for trash gear?

50g.. regardless of grade.. c'mon throw us a bone considering the bulk of it is useless or if BoE never sells in guild stores.

Apparently people who just "vendor everything" do end up with quite a bit of gold.

I decon most of it, sell the occasional intricate bit, and am mostly broke. Getting slightly better at utilizing the traders, but after I buy the house again, I'll go back to being broke.

I guess if you want to farm delves and dungeons and the like and have paid for big bags it is.

I realise this is a bit of winge, but 50g is my reward for being worthy? Some might say yes, you're a scrub. That aside I'd rather quick gold I can use to die on the battlefield rather than have to go craftman to materialise shutff and then use the clunky trade system to try and rid myself of stuff people find just walking out of their housing.

There's plenty of ways to make good gold out of the game. Vendoring to an NPC isn't a great way, it's just low effort.

Decon to level crafting is the best use, as top passives to help you define tempers is a big money earner.

Only sell good traits, divines / impen on the whole. Most average set pieces go for 4-5k upwards. Intricate sells 995g all day long, and if you list multiples in one hit the same buyer will clear the lot.

The most general pick ups are trash from dungeons overland, to expect them to be worth more than 50g is wrong, we everyone would be a millionaire. The point is to learn crafting, to learn trading, to understand the market if you want to get loaded.

sometimes you'll pick up white trash that will say "worth 280% more". Questing, doing public dungeons/ delves and farming delve bosses for plunder skulls often fills my inventory with such things (I have 90 slots). It's very easy to casually make 2-3K gold from trash stuff without going for actual money making that day and with just playing for a few hours (I normally have about 2h of playtime a day).

Actually it's pretty good. You won't be a millionaire but you can easily make 100k just by doing that.

I only sell the ornate gear and white gear anything green+ gets decon. After I save up stacks of the mats wood ore and silk I sell them with the stacks of green blues and purples. This makes me more gold in the long run. Does not happen over night but way more gold then just selling everything to the npc

I realise that.
Im 50 in every craft and 9 traits in most, i have 5 crafted sets. I and I thought maybe others, don't need junk or mats or to waste time on crafting and the skill points it consumes. Rather just more than a tuppence for a so called reward which is of no use or interest to me. 99% of the time. Maybe this is the wrong section.

This Khajiit sis from Friday to Monday Morning make, in a good mix beetween selling all the white, green and so on stuff and Guildtraders 250000 Gold to buy the Witches Hut. It may be only a bit of Gold what you get but the amount you have in youre inventory if running a lot of Delves, Dolmens and Dungeons is insane, this one has 120 inventory spaces, not enought

I should have put this in the alliance war section really.
I've essentially ignored the pve in this game except for necessary visits or queues and doing it is worse than watching the map get wiped by EP before maintenance.

The game economy will suffer if there's too much gold around. I usually vendor the white and green items, unless they are intricate or in a style where the item is pricy, deconstruct the blue and purple ones for the temper. Also I deconstruct ancestor silk items since the price per unit is on average higher than the vendor one. I end up with quite a bit of gold when I clear the inventory at the end of the day.

Try going to craglorn and gathering the nodes. You have a chance to get Nirncrux and they sell for like 12k a piece. I dont remember what nirncrux it is though.Plus if you don't need the upgrade components sell them too.
