I hate it when somebody is asking a simple question in zone (usually a new player) and others give them the WRONG information "for teh lulz."

If I see this in chat, I'll send them a pm so that at least they get a legit answer.

I try to as well. But sometimes there might be more than one person who was wondering the same thing but they don't ask.

Those who run up & steal a node or chest while you're fighting a mob practically on top of it

Those who don't empty chests/nodes/thieves troves

Those who, upon seeing you come online, instantly msg you asking you to immediately drop everything you're doing to craft for them - and then have no idea what they want and have no mats or gold to pay you. Bonus points for those who, after you've explained you're in Cyrodiil or doing a dungeon, msg you continuously asking if you're 'done yet'

Yeah, this. lol And don't forget that sometimes they'll vote kick you out of the dungeon if you're not set up that way. In fact, the prevalence of this has me on the verge of unsubbing. Still enjoy the game enough that I'm not quite there yet, but close.

People who go into veteran content without bothering to learn essential mechanics for build making. This mostly applies to non viable hybrids, heavy armor dps, dps using healing spells (unless mechanics require an off healer like vRoM), or other things that hinder their ability to do their role. I don't care if you want to play a snipe spamming mDk but stick to overland or normal content where you aren't wasting 3+ other people's time.

The people who shout 'git gud' need to just go away. Far away. It started when Dark Souls was released. And if we knew it was going to do this to people, make them into screeching manchildren like the ye olde days of arcades who yelled that they were the best, and were obnoxious about it, we would have burned down the studio it was being made in.

The ones that que as multiple roles and then blame the group finder when they can't join because it says instance full. It's saying that because it thinks we have 3 dps because someone decided to que dps and tank just to get in faster

In dungeons, people who think they can boss everyone around, although I find them more comical and amusing than annoying.

In general, people who just run around murdering neutral NPCs. I hate this. I wish it wasn't part of the game. I realise its a part of the Dark Brotherhood but they could have put the DB targets in their own cells so the rest of us don't have to put up with seeing an NPC standing over his own body because the game respawns then quicker than it cleans up the corpse. The guys who just run around murdering every NPC in a zone, do they have nothing better to do? If they've literally done everything in the game then start a new character or here's an idea... go play something else.

1- "All builds are the same" spouting players on the forums. Believe it or not, max efficiency isn't the only play style. In my opinion this is a community issue, not a development issue.

2- Youtuber fanboys who think just because X or Y youtuber did it with that build, that they can too. Then kick and scream when they can only hit 17k DPS with said "50K dps" builds.

3- People who complain that heavy attacks are mandatory, and you must use them frequently. I don't have this issue, so maybe you should reconsider your build. (I wear 5 War Maiden + 5 Julianos with 1 Chokethorn for PVE, spell damage jewelry enchants. Not a high sustain build by any means.)

4-People who won't cooperate during dungeons. Example- You explain the mechanics of a boss (Maybe several times even), and that one team mate refuses to participate. Instead, they'd rather try to burn the boss with their OMGawd ah-mazing 13k DPS, and wipe the team time and time again. These are the only type of people I vote to kick.

These aren't listed in order, but just numbered for simplicity.

I absolutely hate when people ask me to craft them 'the most expensive' armor in the game, then are complete cheapskates and don't want to pay or tip. This happens quite a bit to me.

This is why I have a "no mats no craft" rule with zone chat. Too many people don't understand the cost of mats, and my time to go hunting them down.

IE why a lot of crafters dont actually craft for other players unless they are personal friends or perhaps known guildies. There are 0 reasons to trust people in zone chat and the crafter takes all the risk. Just dont even try.

    The point wasn't "git gud".

It was to show how video games and their difficulty get watered down because people refuse to let skill be a deciding factor. You often get players who just want to breeze through a game and advocate for it to be easier to streamline the game's audience. Also, this is the title of an article about Cuphead.

    Whatever floats your boat, though.

Poor Cuphead. An indie dev makes a cool, stylistic, and challenging shooter, and people's first reaction is "It's too hard!" XD

The people who constantly die in dungeons, I'm not talking about low levels, I'm talking about the people who rush in before the tank and get one banged. Especially if they get pissy that we didn't res them for the 14th time on f***ING fungal grotto 1.....on NORMAL!!!!!!!!!

    I'll second that.

As to random NPC's getting murdered, it used to bug me, but not much anymore. Especially when the NPC is just obliviously standing atop their own lifeless corpse. It's so surreal, it's unintentionally funny. Sometimes I almost feel bad for those poor Akatosh sermonizers... Almost... :p

I stopped right there and laughed. Had to quote that.

Players not looting the whole node, but of course most likely hating when it's done to them. Hypocritical and arrogant.

The worst is the entitled cry babies that overwhelm the forums. An embarrassment to humanity really. A silver spoon fed diva that was handed everything in life or a 3 year old has a better, more mature response to things than they do.

Otherwise good players who won't admit they're having a bad night and just try to keep pushing through. Eventually, they get frustrated and that makes them worse, all while they're dragging the party down. Just log off for a while and come back later; everyone has an off day every now and again.

Fake Tanks and Fake Healers in Dungeons. Just why bother. Yes I know you all reckon I shouldn't use the Group Finder, I should only play dungeons with friends and/or I should join a guild. I only have 1 friend who plays regularly and a few who play irregularly so it's hard to arrange grouping up and I have a tonne of Social Anxiety and Interaction issues which make joining a guild difficult. Unless people don't mind me never interacting, never engaging, never talking and just loitering in the corner like a spectre at the feast but generally I like to avoid the uncomfortableness for everybody.

If you think Dark Souls started this trend, you must be very young. People were moaning about carebears ruining the game back when I played Star Wars: Galaxies, and I can guarantee you long before that.

Actually, for a while, Dark Souls was actually a hopeful thing, because it seemed like it might give the L33ts somewhere to go. But it didn't quite work out that way. It was more that once someone completely catered to them and only them, they expected nothing less from everyone else.

The ones that see you near a node or chest and run to beat you to it. And of course the ones that don't clear them.

Oh and the entitled ones who say stuff like "Can I have that motif/runebox/whatever because I'm your friend?" but then want to charge you for the motif they have that you want. Or, "I don't use food, I couldn't be bothered levelling up the skill. Please rez me over and over". Or, can you craft me this gear in this style, except I don't have the style mat and why can't you use Mimic Stones that you paid actual money for... This is one specific guildie I'm talking about... but I'm sure he's not the only player like this. Gimme gimme gimme and no return.

The people who have forgotten that, at the end of the day, this is just a game you can buy for around $30. Most players I've met know that and are just playing to have fun.

There's a small group who aren't happy unless they're making others miserable. They're unhappy, they want others to be unhappy. They complain, they criticize, they insult. They're arrogant in an environment that gives them no basis for arrogance. You pushed a few buttons on a keyboard. Great. Now cure cancer.
