Getting Error 209.

Can't download the patch, and can't repair. Esentially ESO doesn't exist. Fix please Zos.

    Probably got lost with the French localization.

    People who have game in french can install but cant play because nothing works anyway for them, so you are not missing much lol. Might be dumb question but, did you look into the options in launcher and clicked repair? (the option is always there). Otherwise I can say just reinstall, since no one so far has the problem like you do.
    Magicka sorcerer from start until the end. Always. Through the good times and the bad, even now when its probably saddest PvE dps it has ever been.
    Even as an owner of one radiant apex mounts I am against radiant apex mounts and anything thats not obtainable by direct purchase.

    Yes - Repairing gives the same error as simply letting it try to patch. Error 209

    Reinstall. What else can you do. They have bigger problem of fixing game for hundreds players now than fixing game for one guy with error message.

    I'm having a similar issue. Repair didn't work for me either. I sent in a ticket because the game wouldn't download after that.

    Do you maybe have a reshade for the game? My game would not work with that and I had to just remove all ESO files from folder and then I could launch repair otherwise it would not repair anything.

    It's the same after every maintenance: Update - repair - repair - pull hair out - restart laptop - update - log on - an hour later, if lucky, you actually log on and see your character on screen which takes 30 mins to move an inch and then the game is fine, until the next time :expressionless:

    Do you have an external drive you can try downloading a fresh install onto? If that works, you should be able to transfer the updated files to your pc. Create backup copies of your settings and variables files first though.

    You may have to uninstall and reinstall the game.

    Then make sure you ESO launcher is set to always run as admin. I found I had to do this. Every time there was even a minor patch my install would be corrupted if I didn't run as admin, even though my account is the admin account.

    always make a copy of the client-folder before installing. When it gives error, shut down client, copy the back-up to original place and try again.
    2nd time it worked .
