Do We Deserve Another Day of the Event?

4 hours does not make an entire day so I refuse to vote due to the ridiculous wording you used! Your poll choices need to be reworded. Your poll is absolutely bias regardless if you think it is or not.

Maintenance happens, it is required and is part of MMO's since the begining. If you don't like it then don't play an MMO but they give warning for downtimes so plan around it. Today also happens to be DLC release day which we have known about for weeks now so they don't owe us anything.

No, I'm okay with losing entire days of annual events because I feel that is fair to me

You would have assume they would have considered this when putting the event on, thus it is already a day over what was initially planned.

Grammar aside, why would I have to assume that? And why would I? There's no way we can know if this was a factor in the planning process. It's not a fair assumption to make.

    should logically

You haven't been playing the game for very long, have you. ;)

obviously not since they havent learnt yet that you are not an entitled troll. any event that goes over 7 days will hit a maintenance or 2. thats a guarantee. of course they know and factor it in. they just didnt care about your opinion. go ZOS!

    Fixed it for you.

Like I said this poll was made merely to survey the community and learn of their views regarding maintenance cutting into event time. It's not like I'm asking for anything. All you'll have to do is flip back to page 1 to see that a lot of people agree with me, and a lot don't. The ones who don't are probably the ones who aren't affected by it. Personally, I think it's very interesting information to know.
You claim that this poll is to serve the community yet you're just pushing your own opinion and saying that everyone who disagrees isn't affected.

    Since launch, actually

You're making an assumption that they haven't factored it in, but then arguing that people shouldn't make assumptions on what they have or haven't done. I really don't need to get in to a discussion about it as you are making my point for me it seems!

Yes, we deserve an additional day of the Witches Festival because 1 day is being taken away from us

Yes we do :) ahh maybe 3 more days should be added. More people are playing it's really nice to see.Been having a blast.<3

    The intelligence here is mind-boggling

    ;)

I want 3 more days, isn't that better then 1? I mean with the lag and lovely loading screens I feel they owe us more. :* Though I guess you want less.

Ummm, are you one of the bike jockeys that keep the servers going? The only peeps that wouldn't want more but less. :/

No, I was agreeing with you. You were one of the people who were more or less right, you were agreeing.

I've been calling for more days this entire thread

Why do we need compensation for something that's free to begin with?

I'm glad we're getting a new dlc during the event - I want to start working on trait changes rather than just skull farming.

Because it's not free. At least for console players who pay to just play. Plus, who doesn't want more burnt branches? I know I need more :p

@Girl_Number8 except it is free. Please advise what the additional cost is for console players that is tied specifically to this game?

The game is down for less than 4 hours. I would hardly call that a full day. And this isn't just maintenance, it's a new dlc with new content which is always welcome in an mmo

As other people have said the game was only down for 4 hours, early on a Monday morning when relatively few people are playing anyway. Yes it's annoying if you were going to be online but it's hardly a big deal.

I don't think ZOS owe us festivals at all (if they do then the 2 years when there were none are a bigger issue than 4 hours of maintenance), there's certainly no requirement that they run for a specific length of time or are continuously available within that.

So whilst I wouldn't object to the festival running a bit longer I also don't see any reason to insist on it happening.

Logging in (there ya go)! Just that costs me 3 car payments in electricity because it takes soooo long. Plus I have to pay my console Ps4 plus fee to just play this game. Otherwise I don't even get a loading screen.

    An I feel I earned it.<3 mwah!

No, but because we haven't actually lost anything given that weekly downtime is known about and factored into any timetable anyway, rather than because of the childish rant that accompanied the option in the poll.

I've gotta say that I think it's amazing that they even do these. I know some MMOs do events very often and I think ESO should do more, but for some reason I feel like we are lucky as hell that they do any. I wish we had an even once a month or once every two months. Next one if they are doing it on the same schedule as last year won't be until around Jan - new lights I think it was. That's three months away and puts them at about quarterly if my memory is right. I care less about the one day in this event and more about the overall having more of them regularly so that the one day on this one matters less because they aren't so far off that it's a long wait till the next one. That's what I feel is the proper way to run an MMO.
