Should ZOS get rid of bind-on-pickup (BoP) items?

Do you think we should be able to freely trade or sell items we get or should we be stuck with them just because we touched it first...
Also ... if you comment ... why the f would ZoS do this to us in the first place? WE ARE SO NICE TO THEM,
subscribing for a monthly fee and buying all their extras etc... do we deserve this kick in the balls?

The logic is backwards because bop eliminates the hardcore playerbase from those activities.
Someone that has everything they can wish for from any dungeon won´t bother running anything as there is nothing to gain from that.
Farming is done in private groups on normal mode and adds nothing to keeping those activities alive for the general playerbase.<Noricum>

What you gonna do with all this gear that some people may want and may not have the best luck in the world or the will to grind. If they are not grouped with you (or if you are doing maelstrom) you can't give or sell the gear to someone who may need it. So you end up vendoring perfectly good gear since it may be redundant to keep. Not everything needs to cater to the Trade Moguls. They already have enough ways to rake in crazy gold with this obnoxious trade guild system.
Honestly, the games I've seen with total free-for-all/non-BoP, the economies have been disasters.
(And yeah, I was never at the level of Raiding/Trials/etc in any of the MMOs I've played. But that doesn't mean I should have been able to just buy the stuff. If I don't raid, I don't get raid gear. Nothing wrong with that. /shrug)10 -

I don't think your realize how common some of the raiding gear is if you do certain raids very often. It is just stuck in your inventory as extra and could benefit someone who needs except it's trashed.Mazari the Resurrected (AD)- PVP stamplar main

PVE players will run dungeons over and over if that's what they like to do . It's a good stimulus for the economy to allow more things to be sold or traded . Crafted sets are now almost just as good anyways and more people that don't want to grind all the time just use those anyways now . Making money will give incentives to keep grinding dungeons just like it did before the change . The economy has been in a slump a long time since these changes . Bots flood the market with mats so those are low on PC and the limited amount of non boe items is too low along with crafted being bis sometimes . Gold should not be able to buy everything, let people earn the gear they use.
Trials population actually dropped when gear was changed from BoE to BoP. This is because trials are incredibly expensive to run (in terms of potions/poisons) and so people need a source of income to run them regularly.
Although dungeons are easy enough that there is no cost attached to running them (you don't need to use any potions), most people run them for pledges, not for their gear. People still do farm them for gear, but the biggest segment of the population, by far, is doing pledges, and they wouldn't be affected by BoE gear.Edited by MLGProPlayer on October 22, 2017 9:46PM2 -

The "grind" this game used to have is gone, literally. Why are you that lazy? You would like an option to be able to buy any piece of gear with gold??? This new age of gamers is sad to say the least. Go do some content that has the gear you want, feel a reward for completing things... Crafted gear is already so powerful, you should consider that as a blessing... Any MMO that offers all the gear to players for gold is trash, its as simple as that. I would much rather complete content to get certain gear than buying it with gold, reevaluate your opinion.
PS, I have a very large amount of gold and this is still my opinion.1 -

Undaunted plunder and the HM plunder reward more than make up for the cost in poisons, pots and repairs.
Vet trials are only a net loss if you get stuck on a boss for 3 hours and then call it.
It's very true though that a big chunk of the vet trials community was doing vet trials after they had all the gear they needed so they could sell the gold jewellery for huge sums of gold, and their time was better spent farming sharpened over land drops after trials drops became BoP.0 -
