Perhaps a skeletal one... no mount has been earnable imgame since it launched and every mount has been buyable with irl cash... Add in a rare mount that players can sell or learn that would serve as a gold sink or players can learn it themselves if it drops for them

Yes that would be nice - although I know one town is always celebrating something. All those drunks *tisk,tisk* But some sort of change would be nice. Even if it was a pumpkin in an inn or streamers or something.

I'm close to finishing the achievement, something else to do would be nice. But I will just use the time to lvl alts ^_^

YES I WANT BAT PETS...I saw some while doing a Dark Brotherhood quest. I squeed when I saw them. There is a cluster of like 4 of them and I stood looking at them for about 5 minutes. they are SOOOOOOOOO super cute.

How about a ghost mount? a pure 100% ectoplasm ghost mount.

Short answer: more to do.

Long answer: according to UESP the Witches Festival is a time when witches and other casters will gather outside the cities to summon demons and monsters. It's also the one day when the Mages Guild will identify potentially magical items for free.

So maybe there could be quests where you track down groups of witches and stop them summoning dangerous monsters, or kill ones they've summoned. Or alternatively quests where you help them by collecting rare reagents for their spells and participating in the rituals.

There could be rare drops from bosses (or even random enemies) which you bring to the mages to have identified, and either it's a reward in itself (maybe useful weapons/armour, maybe festival items - like you bring them a mysterious parchment and it turns out to be a festival motif/recipe) or even better it kicks of a quest to learn more about it by visiting a delve or something and finding more items, using it in a ritual or tracking down the original owner.

Little things too, like listening to NPCs have their items identified and seeing their reactions - everything from being excited that they've got something special to getting angry when the mages tell them Grandpa's magic ring which he won when he beat a daedric prince at a game of wits is actually just a regular ring and the 'jewel' is just glass. Like Antiques Roadshow - Mages Guild Edition.

I'd like to see the seasonal skeletal polymorph also as a very rare drop useable all year round.

I don't see why they would put forth more effort next time if they basically took this event off...

I'm not usually negative but I looked forward to this event too much to be let down...

I want to see decorations of the world to feel there is a Festival .

ESO is a wonderful game but since the devs started festivals we didn't see decorations of the world to real feel there is a festival going on.


Look at every mmo who run Halloween events right now and you will agree I am right.

I'm up for the bat pet. Was commenting today on how being a skill level 10 vampire for so long should allow my characters to at least summon one of those giant bat mobs just for fun. A pet though would work even better.

Agreed

- A 'Giant Bat' pet earnable via collating paper fragments from plunder skulls and then a subsequent quest once the papers have all been collected.

- Halloween themed towns, decorations, and some low-level fog would really bring out the eeriness of the festival.

- Halloween themed bosses from Dolmens.

- An actual festival in each alliance zone for players to gather in with subsequent festival events with prizes that could be: motif books, items, furniture-based crafting resources - anything of value really.

- A mass scavenger hunt?

- More unique items and polymorphs that do not require forking out IRL money.

There is tons of potential for Halloween-based things that should have been included this year, the only upside I found there to be from this year's event was a more populated Tamriel, and a rather nice 100% EXP buff.

With the amount of money they're making from us as consumers with subscriptions, people still buying the game and people forking out exorbitant amounts of money for crown crates and aesthetic products, the least they can do is put more effort into these events than what they're doing now WHILST still adding 'content' and applying bug fixes.
