My latency is the same in ESO as it was in SWTOR, which are the only two MMOs I have played since immigrating here.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭ESO lag/loading is similar to the other MMOs I have playedI've never had any significant lag or loading issues in ESO, nor with any other MMOs except the odd problem with Vanguard and Anarchy Online back in the day although even then I found both games eminently playable unlike some players.
My hunch is that with ESO not doing PvP and not using any addons is a major factor in this, along with running a clean Windows 7 system and wired internet connection from the UK to the PC EU server. It may also help that I'm not in any guilds - I suspect that anything that constantly adds data loading gives a performance hit so someone running in a PvP zerg while constantly loading in trading and map addon data plus data from 5 guilds is bound to be struggling, and if you add in the fact that some of them are probably playing on the NA server from Africa, Australia, or the Middle East there's not a lot you can attribute to the server

They tend to come in isolated intervals (not too often, maybe once-twice a day, but they last for 10-15 minutes) while my internet is still fine. Loading times are faster than GW2, though the loadscreen to load into your character select is awkwardly long compared to something like BDO. Still it's mostly those weird lag occurrences that made me vote this way.1

I'm in Asia and consistently get spikes, along with generally higher than usual latency for a game of this type, especially at night (far worse than GW2, Destiny, etc.). It started shortly before Homestead and hasn't gone away despite days of troubleshooting, replacing devices and cables, reinstalling, contacting support, etc. It affects the game if I log on from other people's connections, so it's not just my Internet. It's a fun game, and I would probably spend more on Crowns or consider a sub if I could maintain a proper connection.0 -
VDoom1✭✭✭✭✭ESO lag/loading is similar to the other MMOs I have playedLag is practically non existent in PVE areas from my experience. It is mostly Cyrodiil that lags unbelievably much, but that is when a lot is going on. Like some battle with over 60 players and siege weapons and so on.

Bryong9ub17_ESO✭✭✭✭ESO lag/loading is similar to the other MMOs I have played(PC-NA) I don't know if its my location or if my ISP is superior to others, but i have never had an issue. My loading screens normally, i don't know, 10 seconds, give or take. And my latency is typically around 90-110.
I feel for you and i'm sure it must suck. If i enjoyed playing a game that was based in Australia i'm sure i would have issues too.0 -

- GW2's lag and load times are at least twice as bad as ESO's.
- BnS's lag and loading times are a little bit worst, than ESO's.
- Neverwinter's is pretty bad as well compared to ESO's.

This. Besides WoW, I wouldn't know any other MMO with better performance.
People in Neverwinter named their guilds "Server not responding" and "rubberbanding" was a common word we used daily!

If they can find a way to fix the lag though then that would be great
