Cyrodil performance

I think the problem with cyrodil performance has gone to far.. I keep leaving the game and coming back hoping it will be better, how it used to be, but every time its just as bad if not worse. I spend most of my days in game dueling now, but thats not what i want from this game. I hate dueling. But i cannot play in cyrodil solo anymore. The performance is so bad. Bar swapping and casting abilities is a nightmare right now and it doesn't seem like zos knows or cares.. If im honest i think the reason you guys ignore this issue, in a scandalous way, is because there are so little solo/small scale pvp players left and it doesn't effect the huge zergs as much..

If i cant use abilities then i cant play, especially solo/small group.. I dont want this post to be to long so im gonna get to the point. Im going to ask this question to zenimax in one last post before the xbox one x comes out (i play xbox) and my last hope of this game changing either comes true or dies.. So @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_Wrobel I want to ask you, how can we play this game when we cant effectively use the things you have put in the game? Mechanics, nerfs, and meta's aside... How do you expect us to play when we cant cast abilities correctly, cant bar swap correctly, and have major delays on many things we do? This hurts solo/small scale players the most..

I have now seen @FENGRUSH @Alcast and some other people on youtube comment on this issue in somewhat aggravated videos. Ive been posting threads like this since before morrowind, because its been bad on xbox for a while, and I've gotten no response nor have i been able to find any comments from anyone at zos about it. In all honesty i have not watched the eso live's so if they did comment on it there feel free to tell me. Also if i have somehow missed a post again please tell me.. But coming from a solo player this is getting out of hand, making people quit, and slowly and painfully forcing me out of a game that i love.. So please, can someone at zenimax comment on the state of this game when it comes to lag, delay and just all around play-ability? (if thats a word -_-)

I too am hoping the Xbox One X does something to improve Cyrodiil performance because it is as bad as you say above. My light attacks miss over half the time and my abilities sometimes do not cast and pots do not get used even though I get the sound notification that it got used.

A simple acknowledgement by anyone at ZoS that Cyrodiil on Xbox is not good and they are working on it would be nice.

@Apache_Kid yes all that and more. aoes look like they go down but they dont.. caltrops etc.. so much that is wrong. so much that makes it hard for us to play unless we want to run around with 40 people not knowing whats going on and just spamming 2 buttons.. it sucks. And this is every time i go into pvp. It just makes me mad and i stop playing the game for a few days, like after 30 min in cyrodil, then i come back and duel and see how it is in a few weeks.. repeat.

i read a thread right after i posted this that @ZOS_GinaBruno commented on today, prob still up in this alliance war section if you want to read it.. She said they were going to be making changes to the campaigns in update 16 and they would release more info soon.. The thing is i dont know that that will fix these issues.. Its like this in any high pop area.. dueling in mournhold or wayrest or eldenroot can be a nightmare sometimes.. just as bad as cyrodil.. this is something wrong with the game.. and its happening on PC as well.

What does "changes to the campaigns" even mean?

Is there actually going to be performance issues that are addressed or is this just to deal with the Xarxes and Kastav campaigns that others have complained about for being mostly empty and existing? (For the record I am for keeping these campaigns open permanently.)

To me that doesn't sound promising in terms of actual performance issues being addressed.

Then again who knows because that post was over 1 week ago and we still have no new information.

They do not communicate. When they do, 9 times out of 10 it is something extremely vague like this or a fix that literally almost no people were asking for.

We need to hear more specifics from them and these specifics need to come in a lot more frequently than they currently are.

and same here, i dont have much hope from what she said either.. this has absoloutely ruined the game for me.. I love this game but i like pvp and its such an annoying thing to have abilities and bar swap not work. You simply cannot effectively fight out numbered when the tools you have will not work. for every attack or bar swap i miss, the group gets 2 3 4 5 chances to do theirs in that second ( depending on how many people they have ).. It sucks for the solo small group players the most, but even the people who zerg or run in big groups must hate it to..

Performance is getting consistently worse. Shor (PC NA) is generally fairly lag-free. The other night, every time we got near a group of 20-25 DC, we all started lagging. If I were to be be very generous, I'd say there were at most 40 people at the last emp keep. While not as bad as Vivec performance (I kept audio after all), it was pretty bad.

If 40 people on screen causes huge latency spikes, it's anything but an RvRvR game.

While I agree with what y'all say, we should probably start populating more than just Vivic and Shor. That's something we as a community can do and have as an option. Rather than beat our head against a wall expecting a different outcome we can be proactive. We have options! Majority of us chose not to use them. That's on us!

The only time this game was good was almost four years ago during open beta (and for about 3 months post launch)

Rose colored glasses long since faded as I have been gone for a year now, the game was complete crap performance wise ever since.

Seeing some faces in this thread I remember, and they seem to have the same opinion that it hasnt changed yet.

It never will.

It will just get worse.

Well im on xbox and its been bad for a while but around after thieves guild.. It was good for a bit but has always bounced back and forth from good to bad.. but ive heard its pretty bad on pc now and has been on xbox for a while.. morrowind seems to have made this game lag worse than ive ever seen it.
