Do light and heavy attacks have a theoretical maximum amount?

I've heard of some DPS tests with people doing 15-20k light attacks? How is that even possible? Most I've done is around 8 or 9k for a light attack on a *DPS* build.

✭✭✭✭The only light attacks that hit so hard are sorcerer overload ones. Heavy attacks can hit for much more though especially lightning since they are 3 ticks.
