Tried to complete this but its bugged or something. I have the essence of death but no matter how many times i obtain the pumpkin or guts , its doesnt show that i have them and cannot complete the quest. Isnt this a bug from last year as well?

    Just tried deleting the quest and doing it all over again but that didnt work either. Also relogging does nothing to help clear it.

    Do you have a crafting bag? It might be that you have to have them in your inventory.

    I do have a crafting bag , but i retrieved the items from there and have them in my regular inventory . Tried that like 4 times and the pumpkins at 150g each from the grocer.

    This is frustrating

    This bug is really messing things up. Cannot even enjoy the festival stuff and cannot complete the quest.

    I see Zos moved the post to here but no response of a fix or how to fix this problem. WTF??

    @necronyteub17_ESO Moving the items from your Craft Bag to the main inventory should have done the trick. Do you have any addons enabled?

    I'm going to take a shot in the dark and guess that you're running dustman or some other junk item auto-destroy mod and its destroying the pumpkin and/or guts when you add them to your inventory.

    I'm having the same problem on PC.. I have tried bringing the items from the craft bag into the regular inventory. I tried logging out and using another character. I also saw the mention above about add-ons, so I disabled everything and tried again with no change. I also tried acquiring new guts and pumpkins but it didn't help.

    One thing I noticed when I started the quest was that it told me:

    Completed: Collect a Pumpkin
    Completed: Collect Some Guts
    Completed: Collect an Essence of Death
    then
    Collect a Pumpkin
    Collect some Guts
    Collect an Essence of Death

    So it was like it saw the items without completing the quest, then disregarded them.

    I'm having the same problem. The game won't acknowledge that I have collected guts and pumpkins. They are greyed out in my quest journal, and I can't get into Witch Olyve's den.

    I have an essence of death, and that is showing as complete in the quest journal.

    I have no add-ons installed, and never have had. I had a craft bag.

    I have tried killing a scuttler and looting some fresh guts.

    I have tried retrieving guts and pumpkin from my craft bag.

    I did complete the achievement on different characters last year. I need to complete the WItchmother's bargain quest to get the Sun's Dusk Reaper achievement on more characters this year, but this bug is stopping me.

    I'm on EU PC

    My mistake. I was misreading the quest instructions. It was the essence of death I was missing, not the guts and pumpkin.

    I had killed a lot of public dungeon basses, world bosses and dolmen bosses and mistakenly assumed I had completed that part of the quest. I did not realise I specifically needed to kill a delve boss.

    I have now killed a delve boss, entered WItchmother Olyve's brewery and completed the bargain quest :)

    Missing items from a quest may directly be link to the quest itself being bugged vs the item prompt not firing upon completion. This being the case we recommend the following:

    Step 1. Log completely out of the game for at least 15 minutes. This performs a soft reset loads your character into a new game instance and refreshes your surroundings, which will allow the missing quest item to appear correctly to your character.

    Step 2. Abandon the quest and re-start it. This will allow the environment to reset and allow the game to respawn the missing object.

    If all else fails, please submit a feedback report or visit the Bug Report here for our developers to investigate and find permanent solution.

    I'm about to try now. Will let you know if this fixed the bug.

    Not working: No mods. Abandoned the quest and logged off for more that 20 minutes. I do have the guts and pumpkin in my inventory but the quest don't progress.
