Help with Witches Festival and world boss

I am kind of dumb with all of this but I had all the quest done...bought the witches house and have been getting plunder skulls to drop at the dolems...but when I fight a world boss it say boss is immune and that sign has gone away and now I can see damage being done to the boss...credit for my part in the kill.....and I get drops...but no plunder skulls. Might anyone know what is messed up. Thanks and I hope this makes since...I am kind of new to all this.

That's odd, if you get drops you should be getting the skulls too. There's a cap to how many players get loot from a boss (12, top dd/healers) but from what you described I don't think that is the issue.

Have you done a /bug report in game?

Also: are you sure your witches buff has not expired?

Another though: if it is a bug, did it happen with more world bosses or just a specific one?

Thanks for the response and I will check a few more world bosses. I have not sent a bug but I might need to. The buff is on...and it just is not recording the experience gained either...but I can see the damage done...so really strange...!! Thanks for taking the time to try to help....Jim

You shouldn't need the buff to get plunder skulls, that's not the issue. Its a bug with something else, I hope you figure it out. The buff is just for XP, the skulls should drop regardless.

The plunder skulls are on a drop timer, if you defeat another boss too quickly after the previous the plunder wont drop.

I think you are right.....I am going to try some other bosses and also ones in other areas...to see what happens....thanks for taking the time to answer

If there's less than 12 people at that World Boss you should get credit with all it entails - including your loot and skull. Even if you are doing damage to the boss, only the top 12 get the credit.

I would test this against another World Boss, preferably with a small group of people.

Also, bear in mind that there is a 5-minute (I think) timer between plunder skulls being made available. If you finished a dolmen at 17.30 and killed a boss at 17.34, you won't get the skull.

After four bosses and one dolmen (all with 5+ minutes inbetween) I've got one Plunder Skull but I do get the other loot.

And an update: all is good now.

interesting....I went to other world bosses and same thing...got loot and no plunder skull...humm

Gina....it is none of those bosses....it has Sharpfang in Deshaan and Jagged Grotto in Malabal Tor....but I bet I will not get any plunder skulls from any world bosses...Dolem's are ok

Hey guys, just a heads up that there are a few bosses specifically in Craglorn that are not currently dropping Plunder Skulls even though they should be. The affected bosses include:

Den Mother
Ariana At-Fara
The Glorious Coil
Vrauloch
Ilthag Ironblood
Akiirdal

We plan to have this fixed in a future patch.
