Why does it take 5-10 minutes to receive mail with items bought from guild stores?

I don't think I have seen this in other MMO's but it has always been like this for me when I bought something from guild stores in ESO. I wonder if this is by design? Some sort of mechanism to defend against manipulating the market to quickly?

Change Zones.

Mail is fetched from the server in 15-minute intervals and when you change locations.

You can also enter a Outlaw Refuge to make your mail pop..

Oh ok, thanks for the information. I also just found out that logging in and out also does the trick. I take it these are the only ways to make the game get mail faster than 15 minutes intervals? Would be nice if we could just click a button (with say a max interval of 1 minute to prevent spamming).

The Mail system is one gripe I have. Essentially if I want anything I just bought I have to teleport out somewhere (often faster than logging out/in).

Current mail system boosts the amount of life in zones. People jumping between wayshrines just to receive emails, appear and disappear. Nothing wrong with this

As others said zone swap or outlaws. If you COD someone its instant and that can jolt your mail system too.
