Combat pets need some fixes first. The melee ones are so-so, the flying ones have a tendency to fly anywhere but where we want them, and the shiny ones are so shiny they can be seen from stealth. The Volatile Familiar is the only one who reliably behaves for me.
As for non-combat pets, try crown crates? Not only can you get some recolors of old pets, but sometimes they put new ones in. Anyway, any new pets will probably come in the crown crates and descend like a horde of nix hounds upon the land.
I would love a fellrunner pet, or a duneripper. Actually give me a bunch of fellrunners of slightly different colors so when I buy a big enough house, I'll have a small army of those flightless birds.

Que anti-necromancers with their "But but but... necromancy is illegal in the three factions!" BS. Ignore them. Murder is illegal and we got a Dark Brotherhood expansion.
I'm all for a necromancer class.

It's really way past time they gave us the pond frogs in all three colors. They would be great both as pets and for putting near the water at our homes.

Its not so much that necromancy is illegal and so is murder, as much as it is that the major enemy faction common to all three factions in the game is the Worm Cult, an entire cult full of...necromancers. Dark Brotherhood players get to murder in game but get punished for performing such illegal activities in public. Player character necromancers could be all for the use of ethical necromancy, I suppose.
But sort of along the same lines as a necromancy class, I found it quite humorous that my Imperial Stam Sorc, who started out virulently against the Molag Bal-worshipping, daedra summoning, necromancying Imperial has found herself throughout the questlines in the Rift and elsewhere becoming more and more of a daedra-summoning, necromancying Imperial. There's a surprising amount of necromancy in the Pact questlines.

I'd love to see the spider undaunted skill moved from a synnergy to a toggle like the sorcerer pets!
I agree, but the last few times I used it, it was summoning horavors instead.
Have they fixed it?
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis
@Khenarthi, my snobbish high elf simply can't find a pet he would be satisfied with. Cats are too... homely. Dogs - too... human. (He looks for grayhound, at least). Snakes - not elvish... etc. Senches, bears, wolves - too... brutish? So he don't use pets.
@Zaldan - yes, I agree. I can't stand pets in banks, especially big ones, like bears, clannfears, nasty twilights... I don't think ZOS will ever fix this.
