NOT a global auction, but a zone wide market board

That tells you which retainer and where is selling the item that you're searching for, if any. It should not show prices in order to keep it competitive, but should allow you to search for specific items, or at least list all items that are being sold in the zone. E for "buy" could be replaced on that board with E for "put a marker on your map". I think that that would greatly improve the quality of life of both sellers and buyers - if your guild's trading post is put somewhere in a small village rather than a main city, however other people had an ability to KNOW that you're selling something that they want, they're more likely to visit you and buy from you, while from a perspective of a buyer, they don't need to teleport all over the zone, they only need to teleport to the board location, find out where the items that they want are (or if they don't exist in the zone) and then teleport directly to the traders.

What do you guys think?

I'm fine without it.

I have access to 4 guild stores from any bank, and takes less than 20mins to sweep the decent traders now search parameters save.

Is you are trawling traders frequently you aren't efficient in the use of them. I.e. Craft more / stockpile etc etc

I'm searching for very specific furniture. Unfortunately this game has no search function, so I have to go through every trader with specific parameters set and I have to check pretty much every zone, as there are no way to search.

Love this idea and have even suggested it myself previously!

Sucks wanting/needing a specific thing and having to go all over the divines green tamriel searching EVERY trader (even with parameters set)!

Doubly sucks when you've spent all day doing that (and not actually playing) and come up empty!

More then just showing where the item can be found, it would at least show that NOBODY has the item you desire. Thus allowing you to just move on and actually PLAY the game and have fun, knowing you can just check again in another day or two and maybe someone will have the item then.

And I agree... this would be a boon to both the buyer and the seller. It helps the sellers move more product and helps the buyers find desired items quickly so they can get on with actually playing the game!

C'mon ZOS... this would be a very nice QOL addition for all, or even maybe another perk for ESO+ members!

That people need to use Add Ons to achieve what amounts to "baseline" functionality in the Trade System shows that a) it is not fit for purpose and b) is in desperate need of a functionality upgrade.

Roughly 2/3rds of the playerbase can't use Add Ons anyway - so such basic functions MUST be in the Core Game.

Would stop a lot of the run around since you'd be able to track the item easier but keeps the current Trader system. As long as it has a better search option than what ZOS have currently implemented sure.

Anything is better then wat we have now. This may also bring down the prices to get a guild trader is prime locations bc now any spot can be prime.

I tried that, but there's little data collected about EU furnishings so it seems. They don't seem to be able to collect information, unless someone with the add on lets them, meaning it's not really tracking everything that's available right now.

No would be my response in how you described it. Another idea....

I'd be open to a board that allows player writ requests me made and fulfilling those requests provides the crafter a completed writ. This could apply to anything that can be listed in the traders today however it would need to align with crafting not drop set gear.

that's my point of view tho

that's my point of view tho

heck by now I would take a board where I could offer crafters a reward for crafting the items that I want. Sort of like a player made quest, but automated. I could simply leave an order for a required item and leave my "reward". If anyone deems it worthy they could fullfill it and the game could auto send them the money.
