any way to make TCP connection or HTTP request?

i am thinking whether it is possible to make a custom group finder: for pugging normal trials, looking for likeminded people to make 4-dps or 3-dps + 1 tank dungeon group, etc

that would require connecting to match making server, so i would like to know whether it is possible for an addon to send/receive data from the internet

    and yes i searched before asking
    i looked into how ttc works and suspected as much but i dont see a firm answer anywhere
    can't see any info on that, maybe it's too much of a common knowledge that no one bother talking abt this limitation

    so the only real-time interaction between players that addons can deal with is thru Chat
    one possibility is to send out a code for group request thru zone chat and have other players with the same add-on somehow propagate the message to other zones, and try to create some sort of peer-to-peer mechanism to group them up..
    another possibility is to have an idle player account to act as the hub, collect all requests via whisper and send out group composition..

    both ideas seem to be terribly messy lol

    Addons also can't directly send messages through chat. They can add text to the buffer, but there is no way to press "enter" with an addon.

    Make the groups your self and then use the Dungeon Finder to enter the Dungeon. Although, if you have a group already, the dungeon finder is kind of redundant.

    Thing is, everyone is on the "same" server, so no way to segregate the player population. The Shards or instances are dynamically created on population count, not population mix.
