Why is everyone so salty?

@Malic summed it up nicely. I understand the point of the op, but nowadays having a real dialog is a lost art. Complaining without any actual useful information is what it has become. Just throwing a tantrum usually doesn't get anything accomplished but they will continue to do so.

People are more likely to complain then compliment. So for every complaint you see, there are probably a 100 or 1000 players who are happy and enjoying the game.

Apparently he is happily playing another game like we all should be. This game is run by people who do not care about the wellbeing of their players and they deserve none of us. My gym membership is actually worth the money and isn't going to change it's business model to "free to work out" and then destroy the quality of the gym and make me gamble for boxes of protein shake. Every other membership, item, or service I purchase has a team behind it that cares about me as a customer. Except for this dumpster fire. This is the forum we deserve for the game that doesn't deserve any of us. Even the ones I always argue with. I love all of you guys, but you gotta take breaks once in a while between salt sessions.

Despite a lack of salt glands, some alligators were able to stay in a marine environment for days at a time, “then go back to fresh water, rehydrate and go back out,” Nifong said. One animal they tracked with GPS stayed in a saltwater environment for 32 consecutive days. Nifong suspects that heavy rainfall at the time helped the alligator survive.

“In the happenstance that it rains out there, they can actually drink the fresh water off the top of the salt water,” he said.

Animals don't let salt get in the way of eating each other. Rehydrate and get back out there!

yes, that is a general trend among many people, not just eso forums, just watch the news: murder here, corruption there, dissaster there, people are too much focused on the negative.....

I agree with you, this forum (and people in general) need to cheer up and focus more on the positive sides of life!!

Maybe everyone is nervous because they have gotten knifed in the back by zos so many times. We don't know what build/ gear we can invest time in and have it not be nerfed into uselessness on a whim by these devs.

You can only be stabbed in the back so many times before you start to wonder all the time ... when is it gonna happen again? It's an uneasy feeling and not what a lot of people are paying extra to sub for...

Not saying this is the only reason but it has to be some part. And if you are paying a monthly sub faithfully you have the right to voice your displeasure... which brings us here...

Hello my friend ! I love ESO but as others say have started to do something else and do not want to constantly complain about things that are never addressed by ZoS . It's not fair to the players that enjoy the game to always be critical . So I found a way to still have fun and let ZoS do what they like . The people here are the best and nicest friends anyone could ever want and the main reason so many wait for improvement . I'll never make a goodbye post ever because I'll always hold out hope for this game to get some improvements . I'll never bash ZoS for their decisions , I'll just find what makes me happy until somethings happen that give a incentive to jump back in, when if that happens . No worries if it doesn't . Whining about people whining just creates a möbius loop of whining so best to leave a positive comment and best wishes and hopes for everyone wishing for improvement in communications and game issues here . Positive thoughts for all of you !

Total Salt fan here. I know it's been a few years. It wasn't the greatest really, but ... just look into those eyes.

Personally I think this forum is a lot better then most out there. Make it better yourself bit by bit, post by post. Or try, because someone is bound to not like what you are saying most likely.

Trolling aside, we would need to see our devs make jumping strides to better the game. Mostly dealing with ballance and lag/connection/load screen issues. Where we lost the majority of our playerbase to.

Being salty wasn't the case 2 years ago, when the game was actually good. Forum topics were way less salty. Guys, I didn't even get any ideas of T-bagging ppl. Simply there were no reason for it. But then proc/heavy meta came out and here we go...

You are right OP. There are lots of "Salty" threads.
But let's change terminology of threads to:
1.Unhappy / Constructive Criticism / Concerns / Problems & Bugs
2. Rage / Hate that usualy end in lots of "Can I have Your Stuff" & "L2P" responses.
3. Trolls.. Threads started just to "Stir the Pot".

Everyone that was here for beta and launch know how much has changed. We need to remember just how many of these changes , good one's, have been made to the game due to complaining / criticizing on forums.
Change in Kiosk Bid Times, Cross Alliance Questing, Dueling, Guild Bank History, Gear and Shield Dying, etc.
Forums are for communication, good and bad.
Just like Zone chat, and ANY situation where you get thousands of people together, there are always "Those Few"...
IMO, I find overall, ESO Forums to be a great community with lots of Positive and Helpful people.
I personally just ignore the rage/hate threads, find entertainment in troll threads and add my 2 Septims to subjects that matter to me..

Why start a salty thread about other people being salty, potentially increasing their saltiness?

Most people only pass comment when they have negative things to say - this is currently the way human nature is. And if all you see on this forum are posts by people who are salty, you aren't reading many threads/comments.
