I'm frustrated with all the b.s. On PC. Why can't we pay to have our characters transferred to console or vice versa. At this point I'd pay 50$ to copy my character to PS4. If I had known this bs would be allowed I would never bought the game on pc to begin with. Now I'm stuck with it. I'm tired of the following:
CE
Aim bots
Miats addon and others
Macros and scripts
I don't have the stomach to create a new character and start from scratch.
You have untapped crown store $$$ potential. Why not make it?

✭✭Different platform, different coding, entirely different interface. Is it doable...yeah probably. Is it as simple as most people think it would be...not even close.
The more likely, but still probably never, would be you buy the PS4 copy. Level to 50 and once you can confirm you own both accounts they just give you the items and raise your CP to match etc. That won't happen either.3 -

Yes, but the characters were copied over before the console servers went live. And it was a character copy, not a character transfer. All those characters still exist on PC.
They probably don't offer it because of the potential for abuse.
Pretend I want to move to X-Box from PC. Before I submit my request, I'll borrow millions of gold from guildies (potentially also gold mats, which I'm sure I could get 1000 or each). I move to console as a rich person. As soon as the "transfer" is over, I can return the money and mats to them.

✭Yeah I know about the abuse aspect. I was just thinking that they had already done it before. So the transfer ability would already be there. Not a database expert but that seems a little flimsy for an excuse, but it is what it is.1 -

I'm not so savvy to get the database population bit, but if they had to copy every account all at once it's possible that doing singular transfers is also difficult for whatever reason. Darethran✭✭✭If the problem is that they can't add entries to the database without having to create a new system to handle it...Just create the new system. Pull the database entries for one character, remove a number of crowns, and chuck 'em into the new one.
Sure, it might be tedious to program in all the quirks for each database, but that's programming.1 -

Edit: It’s not that they need to be free or need to cost but that you’re asking for another charge on top of charges.
One other option is to make the game Xbox play anywhere and then some other offer for PS4 players. It’s really something that has to happen outside of the game crown situation but a paid service still doesn’t make sense to me.
The setup now would more than likely offer opportunity to establish value where some may suggest value lacks. ESO Plus is the choice as the other options are just to buy crowns and most purchases are server locked whereas ESO Plus is not. I assume this isn’t limited to one platform so this is why I’m suggesting eso Plus in some way to align with the model as there is a great interest in expanding eso Plus outside of one platform.
There isn’t another existing method but again...crowns purchased items and services are server and platform specific....just think about it in that way.
Hopefully that makes sense.
