Playing light with no damage shields

Most of my pvp experience is running heavy or medium builds and for the short duration i played mag sorc in pvp I just Shield stacked through damage.
However now I'm looking at playing a melee mag dk in vivec. Most likely dual sword n board. The sets that come to mind are impregnable and wizards reposte, but don't know which would be a more solid choice for staying alive while wearing 7 light armor.

I am aware this is probably a bad idea

I am aware mag dk (and dk in general) are in a really bad spot right now and will get worse come next patch.

MagDK is very strong atm but mainly when used in conjunction with heavy armor and perma block.

You can try to play with full light but better use blood spawn 1h&s and 100% spiked armor uptime for resistances.

The damage in light is very good but you'll get rekt by stamnbs easily with fear and high burst

I'd go wizard riposte. That set will help your group out as well.

As long as you can build for enough stamina, and manage that stamina for when to block, you should be ok.
I don't normally use daggers, but when I do, I choose dos Lekis.

I play my mDK in 5 light 2 heavy without a damage shield, but I do use volatile armor. The survivability is pretty good for light armor, since the DK's survival skills are pretty good. And battle roar helps to keep your resources up to keep up healing and deal damage.

I like to use grothdar on it because it penalizes stam builds that have to get close. And with the number of AOE abilities in the DK toolkit, anyone getting close enough to get it by grothdar is getting hit by a lot of AOE damage.
