    Again with the "gambling" theory

Let's see. You pay money. You have an undisclosed chance to get valuable things. But most of the time you get junk.

Good thing it's just a theory.

When I came back after a few months I joined a trade guild and put a couple of VD swords up for sale as well as some new motifs which I bought with unspent AP (which you can bank now). Most money I've ever had in game, 0 to almost a million in 2 days! It's worth checking in your inventory for stuff that's hard to get nowadays.

PvP laggier than ever even though there's no fighting across the map, It'll be a ball group farming 1 keep. Everyone is a tank or a shield stacking Sorc in PvP. Battlegrounds are turd. Some new dungeons no one cares about doing, not in my guild anyway. PvE overall is still boring AF, trying to get Undaunted levelled on some of my characters is tedious and a chore but required for PvP.

Still here though, the 3 nights I play a week is more of a social, relaxing time for me.

Redo of King'King's "It", I heard the movie was better than the original. I only ever saw the original tho.

I support all things brother-slap related.

On-topic: why did you quit? Despite the forum's general malaise, a lot of things have changed. If you are mainly interested in the solo questing, Morrowind is great and will be worth picking up and playing through.

I quit because the DLC stuff seemed too small for what I was paying, and the housing just felt superficial and empty, and PvP was still pretty laggy. Main reason I quit was that the game just felt like an endless compulsive grind. I found myself farming for hours and it didn't feel like I was playing a game.

I was hoping Morrowind would be better, but then they said it was not a DLC and that lost me. But I would consider playing again and even paying for the "expansion" if it's worth the money.

    edited for sperring errorses

Nope. Morrowind just compounded all of that.

I was just warned to stop changing the topic to this thread and to pick a title that represents the subject.

So it's purposefully vague until I find a good title.

    But please, do continue...

Frankly, that's entirely down to you rather than the game or our feedback. The choice is yours, you can play the game or you can farm.

As you're more or less starting over, as you say, why not roll a new character completely and try just playing the game? It's not a race or competition, there's zero need to farm anything and if that's what put you off the first time then don't do it the second time  !

Now that I have your attention...

I completely quit playing this game about 5 months ago (Console, PS4 NA). Was thinking of playing again, but I wanted to ask...what is new, old, fixed, still broken, etc.?

Is it worth loading up again? Has anything really changed much in the past five months?

Thanks in advance for any input you may have!

depends on what was your reason for quitting...

I've found that most sets can be purchased at really reasonable prices

I've also found farming for sets to be easier now than months ago

Mats seem to have come down in price

I always forget how much I enjoy pve until I do it. And I don't mean 4 man Dungeons, they are super quick. Overland quests can be very entertaining. I also forget you can encounter things/places not accessible outside of quests.

I honestly say I have never ran into lag in BGs or small-scale PvP when I play (console though)

    Getting gold can be easy

Say you have any old motifs from events, etc, those sell well. I suppose I could be rich if I liquidated my AP for items to sell.

What always keeps me playing though is the ability to build a non-meta build, and with enough knowledge make it actually perform as well as most meta builds.

It's always fun to get praise or hate for something no one else has seen

None of those issues have changed. At all. PvP is and likely always will be laggy, Morrowind was a $40 dlc that had a small amount of content for that price tag, and the game is still grind grind grind.

Uh.. care to explain how it isn't on their end? When a ton of people are simultaneously getting lag spikes in pvp (or anywhere for that matter) it is on Zeni's end. When I move to other MMOs my connection is almost always fine, but as soon as I come back to eso everything hits the fan.

The "it isn't our fault / our problem" excuse is a classic response that is used by people who don't want to spend time worrying about how to fix a problem.

I have lots of fun since day one, if you have to ask don't come back.

Undaunted is pretty easy to level. 3 daily pledges and a daily delve quest...Goes by pretty quick.

If you quit 5 months ago then it's better not to come back. If you got bored/disappointed back then there's 0 chance you will get impressed now.

The combat is all about Heavy attacks and light attacks weaving right now. It's really not cool.

Couldnt possibly be an individual's router, couldnt possibly be a poor internet plan, couldnt possibly be netflix in the household, couldnt possibly be unconfigured QoS, couldnt possibly be local infrastructure, couldnt possibly be ISP, couldnt possibly be any of the physical infrastructure or organizations routing the connection between your ISP and Zenimax's servers, couldnt possibly be people mistaking graphical framerate drop for network lag, couldn't possibly simply be Win10 releasing an automatic update that affects everyone at the same time if they dont know how to manage their OS.

Plenty of things that can be giving you lag, plenty of things that can be giving lots of people lag at the same time, plenty of these things ZOS has absolutely no control over.

    funny story.
2 australians (opposite sides of the country >3000kms apart), 1 new zealander and 1 canadian were doing vDSA the other day and all 3 from the southern hemisphere all lagged out at the same time.
    the canadian was fine.

this certainly wasn't our home network's fault.
    it wasn't our ISP fault
but it can't be ZoS's fault either, sicne the Canadian was fine...

It turns out the internet is a huge pile of WTF cobbled together and trying to blame everything on one thing just doesn't work.

I started on PC and played for a year (a lot, like an embarrassing amount). PC does not change anything about the game aside from being able to play the market using Master Merchant.

Nope, Destiny is not for me. I have found a pretty cool new game, though, in the last few days. I think it's called Outside. My dog loves it, and it's always in HD. Never any trouble connecting (well, aside from last week when my entire neighborhood was on fire. Now parts of NoCal look like Stonefalls).

But the forums are still entertaining. Does that count?
