✭I love the guild trader system. I also use TTC a great deal. These threads really need to state the platform, because without TTC, I doubt I would enjoy this system at all. I'd probably want to start threads saying how much I hate it. I'd be curious to know if console people hate the system more regularly than PC.

Though there definitely is an issue with bid sniping and price fixing on guild trader spots. And Guilds are growing into these huge conglomerates. Two of my trade guilds have recently been folded into the network of a larger group after not being able to secure a trader spot due to bid sniping (even in a relatively low traffic area).
So could our current system be tweaked? Most definitely. Does this mean we should abandon it and go the route of having an auction house? Not at all.[XBOX][NA]

Im ps4 NA AND i hate this system if what i need isnt in my immediate area i either stop looking or pay whatever price period i have 2-4hours of gaming time im not about to spend 30-45min pricing flowers,

Xbox NA here and the lack of a global search system sucks. I would literally spend all of my free time for like 2 or 3 days trying to find set pieces that shouldn't even take up an hour to do. Even finding crafting reagents is a nightmare since I have to sift through all the overpriced listings in all the major areas. I just want to search for my damn items!3 -

It’s not selling it’s buying that’s a pain. Anyone can spam zone chat and sell stuff don’t need a guild trader to do that. It’s the spending hours yes hours looking for one thing. The scrolling over and over jumping from port to port that sucks. Please stop with just join a guild trader crap this is not the issue.
I’m in 3 guild traders and still have to port all around the world looking for one damn thing. Last time I was looking for that red gem for housing that was a 2 day event and spamming zone chat looking for it. How about not just no, but F**K no. I've been against guild membership in order to buy/sell at kiosks since day one of the announcement. Not going to change now.I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
3) Difficulty slider.
4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.3 -

This is a QoL issue I don’t want to spend the 2 hours of gaming time I have looking for something in the guild traders I want to play.
So what we need is a central board in each zones main city that has a searchable data base of all the traders in the zone. It would tell you the locations of what you are looking for but not prices. That way if you just want the item and do not care about cost you can go to the nearest trader. If you want a bargain you will need to visit all the traders where it is listed.
Even a simple search within the vendor menu so we don't have to scroll through tons of unwanted stuff would be a great improvement. Auction houses bring more problems than they would fix.and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."1 -

but they already do that. with current system. guild vendor system literally does NOTHING to prevent market manipulation, if anything it gives you more options with how to do so.
there is one reason, ONE for the current system to be preferable to auction house. and that is only because there are no other steady options for it, so that reason is really more of a bandaid. gold sink in a form of trader bids. and even that is a double edged sword.dirty worthless casual.

That doesn't apply to PC as you can search all guild stores using the TTC website. There are also two price check apps (MM and TTC). I use TTC all the time to flip. I'll look up underpriced goods being sold at random traders and then relist them at their "narket price" on my trader in Rawl'kha. And even if you don't use TTC, there are people who check all the traders almost daily for good deals to flip. The trader market is exactly the same as it is with an auction house.
When Nirnroot demand was spiking, I would check most traders in the game daily, buy up all the nirnroot being sold for 200g and less, and then relist it at 500g a piece. ✭✭As somebody who played heavily on XB1 for a while and then moved to PC I find it to be a completely different beast.
The PC add-ons and chat make it so easy to find a good trade guild and also know what are competitive prices. On the console you feel like you're just walking around in the dark.1 -

No not the same at all. With an auction house three people can sit in one location (the auction house) and buy all of any rare item they wish, sit on those items then release them at much higher prices. With the vendor system they can not do that with anywhere near the same efficiency. It isn't about the price check it is about everything being in one place.
On the other end with everything being in one place common items will continue down in price as people come undercutting the lowest price to insure their items sell.
This means the casual player is going to have a harder time making gold and have to pay more for the rare items they may want.and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."0 -

✭✭✭Another issue on xb can’t speak for the other platforms but one guild controls a lot of the traders making it very hard for any other guild to get in. This one guild owns and actively controls over 5 different guild traders in prime spots I won’t say the guilds name but they are all very “saucy”
The dues for this guild are also the highest I have seen in any guild trader. So the people that say if there was a AH 3-4 people would control the rare items and prices well I hate to break it to you but in xb NA this is already happening.
And no this guild is not just buying guild traders and selling them to other guilds to make sure they always have a spot.Edited by FloppyTouch on October 18, 2017 7:09AM2
