what you are asking for is a reason NOT to login to play. what if you only have 1 character? then you go do something else.
This is im sure, the opposite of what any game developer wants. personally, i feel its too just downright lazy too.
Why? You are punished for crimes. Deal with it. I'd rather forbid to log on game for those who have the bounty on their head.Wintergreen wrote: »Is there an add-on that would do this? I'd rather not have to log all the way in to a character to see if their bounty is up. Thanks!

Can you tell me how the bounty of another player affects you in any way?

He seems to be one of those awesome ppl who r pissed when free stuff is handed out, cause other ppl get it aswell.

Wintergreen wrote: »For pity's sake, it was a simple question. I wasn't asking for developers to take time to add bounty to the character log in screen, I was asking if there was an add-on.
Per laziness, let me explain. My loading screens take a long time to load. When I log in to a character to check if they still have a bounty, that could easily mean waiting 5 minutes to log the character in, then a couple of minutes to log them out and get back to the character screen to choose another character to log in to. Log in to other character, another 5+ minutes of loading time. To whomever thinks this means I'm lazy, I think you have confused laziness with efficiency.
Some of you need a brain scan.

OP asked for an addon, not for the idea to be in vanilla game. OP also stated that he/she has three characters, so your statement is invalid. And I highly doubt people with only one character will refuse to login and play because they have a bounty. They can still pvp, do dungeons and trials, decorate houses, explore or do quests (just be a bit careful with quests in major cities).
If people don’t want to play, they’re not going to play. Making the game incredibly inconvenient is not going to get people that don’t want to play playing.what you are asking for is a reason NOT to login to play. what if you only have 1 character? then you go do something else.

its not invalid because this person has more than one character. they are not representative of every player. why would devs allow that kind of data on that screen knowing exactly what i said to be true, and what addon would work on that screen given theres no UI there? what you doubt doesnt matter in the slightest. its a fact that its something that may stop players from playing. no game developer would do that.

As far as I know, there's no way to inject an addon modification into the login screen.
It would be really nice to have a little more statistical info available for a character from the login screen. Stuff like that, or time left on their mount food cooldown. Maybe even time left on currently researched traits.
As far as I have gathered from add-on discussions, an add-on can't interact with a character's information until the character is logged in, because the add-on can't access the characters data/info that has changed since the character last logged out.

Again, OP asked for an ADDON doing this, NOT for the idea to necessarily go live. You don't have to play with addons active, nor do you have do download this exact addon. Even if the idea goes live it should be a toggle for people like you who for some reason I don't understand, choose to refuse to play because you can see your bounty in character selection screen.

He seems to be one of those awesome ppl who r pissed when free stuff is handed out, cause other ppl get it aswell.
Or he might be one of those people who are frustrated at the call for scarce development resources to be spent on something they don't want while no-one ever supports the things they do want and which never attract those developer resources.
Personally, I'm not opposed to the OP's idea even if he is only asking if there's an addon that covers it, but if it was going to be added to the base UI then I can think of lots of other things that would be a better use of developer resources at the present time so I wouldn't want it to be a priority.

At what point did the OP ask for the developers to implement this, thus wasting "scarce development resources to be spent on something they don't want while no-one ever supports the things they do want and which never attract those developer resources."
They specifically asked if there are any available add ons.
@Slick_007, how does the OPs request impact your enjoyment of the game? You strike me as the type of person who just likes to dictate what others should and shouldn't have.
edit for typo
