When you use talons, get behind them. Always have burning embers ticking so you have a burst heal on demand. Stay on top of them and don't lose control of the fight. Only use dragon blood if you have to. It's expensive and doesn't help break up pressure.
Offensively, you need to line up your burst. You can't expect to stand there and whip things to death. You need to line up a flames of oblivion proc (or a deep breath explosion) with a skoria meteor and a leap followed by a flame lash. That should give you enough burst to kill them. Ideally you'd fossilize right before you burst so all the damage hits.
Matchup also is important. MDKs lack the burst to get through a perfectly played magsorcs shields. A perfectly played magplar will purge off your dots. If you play perfectly and they play perfectly, both these matchups are a stalemate. It's whoever makes the first mistake.

Any great sets to use with sun? Or is shacklebreaker good enough? I don't know how people are getting a lot higher spell damage with the same gear as me. Mine is 1700 spell damage in buffed and I see people with like 2700 unbuffed how
